If there’s room for another Knight Hospitaller then I want in. With faith and steel on our side, how can we possibly be defeated? 8)

(Ryan told me about this yesterday on RPG.Net and I’m incredibly keen.)

People, Gavin. Gavin, people.

Whereabouts are you mate? We know a guy in Adelaide who wants to set up some live combat fantasy and has something of a latex weapon armoury built up (Wendel, who played the sheriff at Mordavia: Endgame).

“Hi everybody!”

I’m in Sydney, Turrumura to be exact. I know the Adventurers Guild runs some foam weapon combat, but I havne’t managed to make it to an event yet. There’s a few folks I know here who are keen, but nothing major’s happening at the moment.

I am setting up a group of teutonic knights, but there is no reason the Hospitallers and Teutonic cannot stand sheild to sheild.

So who is building costumes for St Wolfgang? Or are people just going to dig into their extensive wardrobes and run with that?

Dunno about building but i am looking for a monks habit

Kiwi disposals on K rd has ex-army felted woollen blankets for $32-$35 each. One would probably be enough to make a habit (they’re habit forming…)

Being felted wool, there is no need to edge them either. So building a costume takes less than half the time. I bought a dark brown one the other day for a viking cloak and it’s fantastic!

What if any range of colours do they have, White for example?

that would depend on the order itself, benedictine monks usually wore black,
francisican brown, others wore green.

although a monks habit looks simple its actual got a particular cut to it, again depending on the order.

Tigger if you could give me an idea of the order itself i might be able to work something out.
