Yay weapon!
Ryan, will you be at AGM on Monday? Lots of people who ordered would probably be there, so that could be a pick-up option (if you got transport for all that stuff, of course)

Yep, I plan to be there and can bring stuff.
Hey Ryan, will you be ordering stuff sometime soon?
Hey Ryan, what are you carrying in stock at the moment?
In addition to my remaining Ex-Caliber stock - which you can see at www.paddywhack.co.nz - I also have in stock:
Squire longswords - $135.00 ($94.50)
Squire daggers - $81.00 ($56.70)
Warrior shortswords - $90.00 ($63.00)
1 Knight longsword with bronze hilt - $184.50 ($129.15)
1 Elf dagger with green hilt $117.00 ($81.90)
Thanks Ryan, two more questions, is it possible to get a picture of the warrior shortsword?
And second, whats the order/delivery time on most items?
Cheers
EDIT: maybe I should have PM’ed this…
Seconded…
I’m moving houses at the moment so delivery times are a little delayed, but usually weapons will be received within NZ within two working days of payment being received.
I’ll photograph the Warrior shortsword. I believe I have two of them in stock.
Hmmm I wasn’t clear enough, what I meant was what is the delivery timeframe for items not in your stock?
In other words how long does it if they have to come from the supplier?

It should only take a few weeks. I can’t be more exact, as the only order I’ve done so far was badly delayed (by months) because they couldn’t make axes at the time. If you’ve got an order in mind let me know and I’ll check their current turn-around time.
Here are the photos I promised of the Warrior shortsword:
Warrior shortsword $90.00 ($63.00)
A plain 75cm shortsword. Steel-coloured hilt.
Thanks Ryan
Hi Ryan
Just wondering how many of the squires longswords you have left, and are they the ones back on page 2?
Cheers
Hi Dave,
I have about six or eight of them, and yes they are the ones previously listed.
Squire $135.00 ($94.50)
A simple longsword with steel-coloured hilt.
So many shiny toys… anyways Dave, don’t forget to introduce yourself in Chit chat.
I’ve just sold the two Warrior shortswords that I had in stock.
I now have remaining in stock:
Squire longswords - $135.00 ($94.50)
Squire daggers - $81.00 ($56.70)
1 Knight longsword with bronze hilt - $184.50 ($129.15)
1 Elf dagger with green hilt $117.00 ($81.90)
The Knight longsword is particularly sweet:
I’ll make another order soon, if you’re interested then pipe up. I’ll only need 50% of cost in advance for pre-orders - so you can pay half now and half when your stuff arrives.
Cheers,
Ryan

Got my 2 warrior shortswords today & am plenty happy with them.
At 75cm long they are not short shorts & I like them, they are just what I wanted. They also have a very nice weight to them, I hate to say it but the Ex-caliber stuff just doesn’t match up.
Thanks Jared, glad you like them.
The Squire and Warrior swords are very nice (I have to agree, nicer than Ex-Caliber) and great value for money.
The slightly pricier swords are even more impressive. I love my Templer, and the Knight that I have available is awesome. Great handling and cool sculpting.
Hey folks,
I’m having delays with my current supplier, so I’m going to make an order from a new one. If you’re looking for new gear for medieval or fantasy larps, here it comes.
I’m not going to list all the products available here, it’s way too long. If you thought the last supplier had a crazy range, wait until you see this. Weapons, shields, armour, arrows, prosthetics, weapon-making kits, leather goods, costume, etc.

Forgotten Dreams
Yes, it’s in German. But there are pictures! Forgotten Dreams is Germany’s big supplier, and Germany has the biggest larps in the world (two annual 5000-person larps), so they have quite a market. Their products have a high reputation, they’re in the big league with my last supplier.
First, here’s how to find your way around the site. There are four menu images up the top, to the right of the Forgotten Dreams logo. They are: Weapons/Shields, Armour, Masks/Makeup, and Costume/Leatherwork. Click one, and you’ll see category options. Luckily, many of the categories are named in English. Click one of the categories, and you’ll get a list of products that you can scroll up and down. Click a product for a closer look. And then click the image again to see it even closer and sometimes with different angles.
Listed against each product is the recommended retail price in Euro. I can’t put an NZ$ price on them just yet, but I can guarantee that it will be less than double the recommended Euro price (i.e. double is roughly the current exchange rate). I’m not sure how much less, it depends on shipping and importing costs still to be determined. But I can say that I intend to cut down on my margins, and that there will be an NZLARPS discount of some amount.
If you’re looking for cheap weapons and happy to do some crafting, check out the weapon kits. The blades come pre-constructed, so you can be sure of professional standards in safety and durability. You just add a hilt, grip, and pommel of your own design, and paint on coloured latex. They also supply pre-built hafts for aces and maces, which aren’t listed but I can supply prices for.
Let me know what you’re interested in over the next week, based on the rough idea of price I’ve given (somewhere south of double the Euro). I’ll get the NZ$ costs figured out, and then take definite orders.
Cheers,
Ryan
Wow.
That’s some really amazing stuff!
(and the German isn’t that hard to navigate - “Axt Meadgrinder” is pretty self explanatory. It also helps that most of the common fantasy races are derived from Tolkien, who in turn derived the words for them straight from Old English, which was a Germanic language. )
