nzLARPS on 20/20 - Oct 8th

Well, that didn’t suck as badly as it could have, and while they avoided mentioning NZLARPs or Chimera, they at least spelled “larp” out. I wonder if anyone will google it?

Yep, not as bad as I feared. I’m pleased that Hugh’s enjoyment came through. Everyone who had camera time did great!

Someone should really do a post on “If you saw us on 20/20 and are wanting more information…”

Go for it! Great idea!

I’m really glad that Hugh got pressganged into the Great Exhibition - it really shows how much he was enjoying the game.

Bags not - I’d screw it up.

Excellent job everyone, you’ve all done yourselves proud. I was worried it was going to turn a bit negative when they started posting actual shots of Diatribe posts as if we were all freaking out about 20/20 showing up, but almost all of that was really sympathetic to us and well presented. Top marks to Hugh for agreeing to get into the thick of it!

Now, time to get us some Denmark-inspired cultural funding! :smiling_imp:

Haha that would have been awesome to watch with other larpers  I really enjoyed it, as nervous as I was.

I thought it was a good treatment. They got across the main point - that we’re having a good time larping. And it was great that Hugh played a character, and obviously enjoyed himself.

What would be nice for the next article on larp, would be to have an interview with someone who has never been the slightest bit self-conscious about the fact that they choose to larp.

I am so relieved. That is all.

That was AWESOME, you guys! Happy dance commence, indeed.

Reasonably good.

Was a reasonably fair and unbias representation.

I already have email enquiries from people saw the article

Very nice piece. Looked like goofy fun times which is, lets face it, about 90% of the appeal.

Huzzah!

And a big thanks to Jackie (amphigori) for the effort she put into helping Hugh have a good time. It clearly paid off

'twas good

well done those people who ponied up for the interviews
