We find the date to be conveniently controversial.
I dunno whether the organisers already have a suitably large NERF arsenal, however I spotted a camo-painted collection of 2 raiders, a recon and 2 mavericks (+ clips, add ons and darts) on Trademe for $120 all up … closes on Wednesday. We do indeed have a suitably large arsenal. Which would be made even more epic by the addition of that fine set of firearms you have so kindly linked to us. However we’ve reached out budget limit so we’ll just have to make do with what we have…
On the bright side, I managed to import a Nerf Deploy from Singapore. Very nice gun. Will be even nicer when I get around to painting it up and adding decals to make it look like a weapon from the game ‘Mass Effect’.
Are we allowed to bring our own weaponry? Provided it’s something sensible like a Maverick or Recon, of course …
Absolutely, you can bring your own Nerf guns. Just make sure what you bring is appropriate for the character class you’ve signed up as. Take a look at the human classes page for more information about the type of guns each character class has.
Unfortunately, I’ve had a search and rescue training exercise come up on the same weekend, so I can’t make this.
But I do have a chainsaw free if someone wants to borrow it.
You’ll need to pick up and drop off again in Albany.
That is one sexy piece of kit!

Hmm … I might have to make a point of persuading a fellow group of zombies to shamble-rush the player wielding that chainsaw (or, as zombies would perceive things, the horrible-shiny-noisy-spinning-angry-thing-that-might-be-edible-let’s-go-find-out), just so that said player can have the fun of carving up a zombie pack with it!

My SARINZ (search and rescue) training exercise has been cancelled, because all the civil emergency staff are down in Christchurch.
So my weekend is free again. If my place is still available, I’d still very much like to play.
Hey, does anyone have a generator and lights they could bring to zombie larp?
After the game is finished I’d like to shoot 10-15 minutes of video, with some pretty zombies, and lights would make it all work better.
I’m planning on bringing some halogen work lights to the game. I don’t have a generator though
