Hi guys,
David (Aka, “Shetland”, AKA, Vruga), Anna Cruz, Sabine and I are going to be running a Western LARP (or two) out in Awhitu on 23/24 March.
Dates: Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th March. 2013
Times: TBD
Number of player spots: 14
Location: Awhitu Presbyterian Camp (pym.org.nz/2010/09/awhitu-presbyterian-camp/)
Cost: Will either be $35 ($30 for NZLARPS members) or $25 ($20 for NZLARPS members) - See information below.
Includes: Game, lodging, scrumptious Western-inspired meal on Saturday evening, tea and coffee throughout the weekend.
You bring: Costumes, bedding, snacks/food for other meals (and whiskey, pardner!)
The main game will be “The Train Will Whistle One Last Time” - a fantastic looking game that David & Anna Cruz have translated from French to English so we can run it here (no small job - this game is really detailed!). This is an 8 hour game that will be run late Saturday afternoon into Saturday night. This includes the IC dinner.
After the game, people are welcome to socialise 'round the fire and tell tall tales, play games, or otherwise enjoy each-other’s company in a beautiful part of New Zealand! Yeehaw!
We can also run “13 Angry Men with Guns” if people would like more than one LARP. This could be run Sunday AM before everyone heads home. If you’ve played that game before, don’t worry, we’ll have a way you can participate again.
Because the venue is a little far away, we thought two games might make the drive more worthwhile, but it does mean we need the camp for a little longer, hence the extra cost. So if you could let us know which option you’d prefer, that’ll help us immensely.
Thank you!
David, Anna, Jackie & Sabine
