Im planning on going down early to help set up and and take a whole lot of gear down. But I can easily come back up to get you guys on Friday afternoon. I just have to check and organise a few things before I commit to that, so I’ll get back to you about it.
Gareth - When are you planning to go down?
Lucy and Malu - When do each of you want to go down?
Also - the plan is to have a stall set up with a photo board, copies of Immersion to sell, flyers and maybe drinks for sale.
Game organisers - If you want flyers to give out you’ll need to organise a master copy and get it to me in either Word or PDF format. I’ll handle printing them (at no cost). PM me for my email addy when you’ve got the master copy organised. And DON’T leave this till the last minute! I want the masters no later than Friday 11th January.
Attendees at Taupo - We will need volunteers to people the stall, preferably two people always there and there will be cash handling involved. Ideally I want to tie people down only an hour or a two at a time and the duty rotates through a pool of volunteers.
I’m not planning on organising a LARP down there as its too labour intensive and I don’t think we’d have much interest from the punters anyway. I’m trying to set this up as a profile raising exercise and would like to try and make this a fund rasing exercise also.
But thats just the basics and it will not preclude any of you stepping up to organise an evening/afternoon mini-larp if you wish. BUT, it’ll be your puppy to organise and run.
If anybody coming wants or needs to borrow some costume from the gear pool then PM me and let me know what you’re after and I’ll get it from Mike at the Gear Rationalisation Saturday 12th January ( I hope to see a lot of you there for that too)
I’m looking to got down on the friday , time will pend on who I take
I personally am going down the weekend before to set up the site, if anyone feels they would like to help coming down early that would be great, but that is not really the reason for my reply.
My girl cannot take the whole week off work (we decided one of us should work!), and so needs a lift down probably on the friday, if anyone can help or if you get the suggested bus underway could someone bear her in mind?

I would probably prefer to go on Friday, not sure about the time… I finish work at 5 normally but if leave after 6 it’ll be dark when I’m there, so I’m thinking of taking half day off. That means leaving about 1.30 or any time after that…
Edit: if the person who gives me the lift wants to go really early on Friday I can take the full day off, so we can leave from Auckland pretty much any time…
I’m planning to get the day off on Friday, so I’m flexible as to what time people want to leave.
I can’t go because I have to start my new job in Wellington the week before that, and I think asking for leave like one week in is a bit rude.

I may take down the car for the weekend i.e. 4 extra places. Pending approval!
