The Flight of the Hindenburg

cool paper Ryan. wish i could do that good for serenity

however about that air race, ā€œfor queen and country old boy, Tally ho!ā€

The player of Dick Tracy is unfortunately unable to make it to Chimera, so the character is available again.

The Fight Against Poverty is pleased to announce that it has secured the services of George Gershwin, popular composer and radio host, to compĆØre on Saturday night aboard the Hindenburg.

It would be best if we can fill the remaining four character slots. If you know anyone who might be interested, please do see run the characters past them and see what they think. They are:

Charles Lindbergh
Clark Gable
Major Sabrina Rahn
Richard ā€œDickā€ Tracy

The game will work best if all the characters have players, because the characters are all so well tied together.

All of the characters have interesting twists, there’s much more going on than what you see in the description.

Ryan, in the interests of completeness, if I’m sorted in time on Sat night after dinner and one of the roles (Lindbergh?) is free I’ll play it. Bringing a suit in case. I’d love to play but I’m worried about overcommitting myself and letting you down on the night :frowning:

Sounds good Steve. We could always have you enter a little late - Lindbergh could be getting a tour of the zeppelin before he socialises.

Let me know if you’d like to look over the character sheet, I can email it through.

Ya, no longer a larp virgin.
And what an experience that was
Great game, it was indeed EPIC.

The only down side was all the possibilities that could have been had I been a more experience larper to be able to see and take advantage of them.

When I said Einstein was simple I forgot about the alien twist.

Big thanks to Steph and Fraser for stepping up to GM with me, they made a huge effort to get all the materials ready on the day.

Thanks also to Craig and Ian for the epic atmosphere.

You’re welcome, it was great fun!

I really wish I could have played in this one!

Sadly I could never have come up with a costume on a par with everyone else’s at such short notice, had to do the work for the catering, and in any case it turned out that my back was so bad that night I’d not have been able to do anything. Ah well…

Ryan, we gathered up a pile of your belongings from amidst the trashed Hindenburg this morning - these include various scissors, two books, a monopoly set and other misc. things. I need to get these back to you.

some of those scissors are mine, they have purple and black handles…

…not sure how I’ll get them back at the moment.

Thanks Anna, let me know how we’ll suss it. I only brought one pair of scissors, I think they had orange handles but not sure.

If you find three large pieces of orange fabric in a black bag, it belongs to NZLARPS (from Tryst).

Also, huge thanks to the writers of The Flight of the Hindenburg for letting us borrow their zeppelin for the night:

Frank Pitt
Katrina Allis
Nasia Alevizos
Nick Cole

Nick in particular put in a lot of time and effort getting the materials to me and helping me understand them, and I’m very grateful for that.

I was shifting some of the stuff around, and I found the prop used as Capone’s ledger in the box, and take a look at it since I didn’t really get to see it in game (alas) and see that it was an old book with a fancy cover.

Ryan, you have an incredible sense of humour…

The book was a copy of Crime and Punishment.

… that bit of humour was unintended.

I knew what it was, but I mostly took it because it looked old.

OH, that was THAT book. I saw ā€œfrankā€ carrying it around and had a good chuckle when he showed it to me, didn’t tell me what it was in game tho. Not that it would have meant anything to me.
