Hi everyone,

It’s Secret Santa time. Hurrah! If you’re new to the forums this is an opportunity to gift someone in the community with something cool that you’ve made or purchased - and to get a present yourself! It’s a great way to spread some holiday cheer.

This thread is indicate your official desire to participate! We’ll be doing this like last year, exchanging presents by post or sneaky courier - however please note:

If you’ve signed up in the past, but didn’t manage to get your gift to the recipient, you may not get to participate this year. I know sometimes things happen, but each year we’ve had people who didn’t get a gift and that makes them sad (and me frustrated as I have to chase people up!)

To participate, please fill out this form by the end of TUESDAY 13 NOVEMBER:

Please do NOT reply to this thread. You’ll make my life a lot easier by using the handy dandy form above!

  • You’ll receive the name and address of your “buddy” by the end of Sunday 18 November.

  • Buy, make or conjure your gift with a view on getting it to your buddy by Tuesday 18 December.

Let’s set the value of the gift between $5 - $20 with a view on making/sourcing things that might be useful in a LARP. For example, pouches and bags for storing OOC stuff are always useful and fairly easy to make. For those who like to write a little story featuring your recipients character would probably be well-received. Maybe you want to do a sketch or drawing? Of course chocolate never goes amiss.

Hi everyone,

I’ve sent out notifications to everyone who signed up - using whatever contact details of yours I could find (since I wasn’t clever enough to ask for your email address on the form. D’oh!). So this means you may have received it in email, work email, on Facebook or Diatribe.

If you haven’t already posted on the Wishlist thread, could you please consider doing so? I’ve been asked for advice a few times already (and didn’t know how to answer). :slight_smile:

Remember, you’ll want to aim to get your present to your recipients by 18 Dec.

Like Zannii, I know I sent it, but as yet have no confirmation on whether it was received. Hoping so . :slight_smile:

I’m the same, I’d love to know mine got there. I haven’t gotten one yet either, but I’m not worried. I’d just like my receiver to have received mine haha

I am concerned that leaving things in the letterbox may not have gotten the items to the recipient. However, made the delivery to the letterbox personally, so that’s good.

I haven’t received mine yet either - our letter slot is narrow, and if anything is left on the steps it’s liable to walk. Just wondering if I’ve missed it.
