2012 Secret Santa wish list thread

While startlingly similar to last year’s wish list thread, this one is in fact for 2012! So…

If you’re participating in the Secret Santa, please feel free to post a few modest requests here in case your Santa is stumped.

Please also indicate if you have any allergies/sensitivities (nuts, perfumes, what have you).

Good example:

Dear Santa,

I could use any of the following:

  • Tealight candles
  • A wooden bowl
  • Chocolate
  • A small leather pouch

Please avoid sending me anything with:

  • Peanuts

Bad example:

Dear Santa,

I’d like a new shield, full set of plate, a couple of swords, maybe some new costumes too - come to think of it a cloak would be nice. And a pony.

(You get the idea).

Happy Wish-listing!

YAY SECRET SANTA!

Dear Santa,

Any little accessories for my campaign characters for Teonn (Alphaba: Orc, Knight of the All) or Dreams in the Witch House (Corporal Nancy White: 1930s/40s, army surplus bits)- would be lovely.
I don’t eat a lot of chocolate, but can’t leave a tube of Pringles unfinished, and I love my British sweets.

Thank you Santa!

Ellen

Dear Santa,

I could really use some extra belts (find them at the Sallies!) or larp jewellry (quite cheap and easy to find on TradeMe or eBay). Or anything suitable for Sir Athin, Champion of Vangard.

Alternatively, small Cthulhu stuff would be cool.

I do eat chocolate, and will happily eat any that Ellen doesn’t want.

Secretive Santa, Ninja Nicholas, Crafty Chris;

I have all that I need. Yet a small kindness never goes amiss.

Perhaps a small in character book, for Teonn, for a Morhkin. Or some writing implements for the same.

If something sweet you wish to send - avoid nuts. Otherwise, all is well.

Rob

Dear Satan,

I like weird clothing that fits fat girls 14+ in size,
i like ridiculous trinkets and goth nick nacks,
scrumpy cider is pretty cheap…
“be merry” xmas tea is so delicious,
anything to do with nursing is good too,
home made things are the bombdiggity.

Please avoid sending me anything with:
oppression (sexism, racism, abeism etc)
nickle

Dear Santa,

The only long-term character I play is Morwen, a common soldier in the Queensguard, however I do play a lot of 1-shot games so random small props, jewellery, or items of clothing can always come in handy. The Kapcon Flagship LARP this year will be set in 1899 Hong Kong…

I also enjoy sewing, so interesting buttons or trims will be appreciated.

Finally, as a red-blooded human I am an enthusiastic consumer of chocolate and other confectionaries.

Thanks,

Catnip (Donna)

Dear Santa,
I’m going to Teonn for the first time in December and really looking forward to it! I’m going to be a Human Warrior Prince, from the Teonn
equivalent of Persia. Though being new to weekend long campaign LARPing, I’m sure there are lots of little things that I’ll need, but forget to bring- so anything along the lines of utensils/books/writing things/carrying things like satchels etc would be great.
But you know me Santa, I just appreciate being on your list in the first place! So anything you put your little elves to making, will be received with my heartfelt
gratitude!

Take care, hoping you enjoy the Sun 8)

Your friend,
Tim aka TinTango

Sorry to derail, but since when is size 14 fat?

Let’s keep this wish list on topic please.

Dear Santa,

If you could find it in your heart to supply me with any of the following i would greatly appreciate it

-Chocolate
-small leather pouches
-interesting trims and buttons for my sewing collections
-Accessories for my 33AR character (shes’s a healer/librarian type) if you find anything in green, blue, brown and black in colour (if that helps)

Dear Secret Santa,

I love little surprises of any kind including chocolate, but no peanuts please. Zephyr can use little pots, bottles, potion making bits and pieces, or cups or … what do you call those bottles you put drinks into when you don’t want them in the modern bottle? A decanter? Hospice shops are great for that kind of thing. I got a little pair of cups last year which I loved, but one of them got broken at a larp this year. :frowning:

Alternatively, anyone who has seen Zeph knows that she loves absolutely anything silver, white or blue coloured, so cheap jewelry, hair ornaments or knicknacks are very welcome.

edit: and my real name is Kara Jensen.

Dear Santa,

  • My main character is Amalthea the ice elemental, so anything in white or blue would be nice
  • Apart from that, a medieval bag or pouch would be great so I can carry around healing potions and bandages
  • On the same train of thought, more potion bottes are also a good idea as mine keep getting lost
  • If all else fails, I have no food allergies so chocolates or baking etc are very welcome.

Thank you Santa, hope it gives you some ideas!

Dear Santa,
I have no skill in leatherwork or latexing stuff, so something along those lines would be awesome.
Alternatively earrings, of any style/colour (slight preference to gold colours) would be a welcome addition.
And I love dragons.
Thanks,
Hannah

Dearest Santa,

As I have joined the 33AR fold I would love:
[ul]
a leather pouch I can attach to my sword belt
a set of vintage cutlery (Victorian styled if poss)
Some whistling Nerf bullets for my Maverick
A wooden bowl or plate
[/ul]

*edit - or of course any Gypsy or steampunk or Victorian bling.

Thanks Santa!
Sophie

Dearest Santa,

I have been a good boy this year and played nicely with others. Could you please see your way to helping me with a few odds and ends for my imaginative play?

I have a few campaign characters and play a lot of Larp so I would love any accessories that would be suitable to medieval fantasy, steampunk, or 1930’s Cthulhu horror. With Kapcon coming I think anything Oriental or Tang Dynasty appropriate would be awesome.

Anything like bags, books, jewellery, leather knick knacks, costume clothing (size m), curios, momentos, feasting gear are all welcome and highly loved!

Please Santa I continue to be very good so if you could leave all the sweets at home, or with other boys and girls who love them, I would most appreciative.

Thanks Santa!

Dear Santa,

If you happen to find any costume-y op shop clothes in a womans 10-12 that would be marvelous. I also like bells and anything pretty that I can put to use from tins and jars to props for costumes. I have a sweet tooth and love home made things. But please avoid sending me anything with perfumes or cranberries.

Thank you
Helen J

Dear Santa,

As a GM, what I really need is extra time in the day, but I know that’s hard to gift wrap

I don’t have any campaign larp characters at the moment, but I have a costume/props wardrobe full with things I have used in the past, or might use in the future. I love thinking of a character and knowing I have just the perfect thing in the cupboard for her. So I would love anything that might be useful in any kind of larp one day! Jewellery, accessories, pouches, belts, scarfs, bottles, flasks or just anything you see and think, “wow that’d be great in a larp.”

Thank you very much Santa!

Rowena Knill

Dear Santa a bit of a repeat on last year but it all applies.

I am pretty easy to please, pretty much anything larp related (I will give some examples of different things, but go with what feels right):
Trinkets and odds and sodds work well, pouches, bottles, things to make stories around.
On that matter, letters, documents and Maps…feel free to make up names, and drama
Simple clothing, size XL.

The characters I am playing are a fantasy Elven Pirate/Priest, a World War 2 British Soldier, a turn of the century Asian bandit leader.

Although Santa I know you might not be very crafty and might want something simple. So a simple solution, a second hand book, something that you enjoyed at some stage in your life or heard good things about.

Thanks
Scott

That’s the best I can do…

Dear Santa,

Although I’m not in any regular larps at the moment I do have a wide and varied collection of bits and pieces that I can use to put together outfits for when I do. So accessories like jewellery, beads, belts, bags and pouches, hats and hair gear and other small pieces like this are super.

I’m also trying to complete a Victorian-steampunk explorer/aviator outfit so things that might go well with that would be awesome.

I also like sweet things so any snacky goodies are readily accepted (except coffee flavoured).

Thanks Santa
