NZLARPS Auckland AGM - 2022

Hi all, it is that time of the year again where we have to host that administrative function known as the “Annual General Meeting.” As a heads up, Parliament has finally passed the new Incorporated Societies Act into law, which will have an impact in the near future on us.

NZLARPS Auckland will be holding its AGM in October. The date is yet to be confirmed, but we will advise in due course. As in recent years, there will be no physical location and we will be hosting the AGM remotely via Zoom with voting to be conducted via email voting.

Nominations for the Auckland Regional Committee can be made either in the thread below, in the thread on the NZLARPS facebook group or by emailing the Regional Director on Any nominations made via facebook or via email will be posted on the thread below for accurate recording.

Due to our online voting system, there will be no nominations accepted from the floor. The deadline for nominations is currently 7 October 2022, but this may be extended depending on the finalised date for the AGM. Any other motions can also be made via this thread or by email.

There are a couple of key points to note in respect of the AGM. Firstly, the Auckland Region also contains all members based in the Waikato Region, so if you live in that region, you are more than welcome to stand for the committee. Since March 2020 we have hosted the majority of our meetings via AV means.

The second, as mentioned above, is that we as a Society need to start considering the impact of the new Incorporated Societies Act and how that may and will affect us. Whoever is coming on to the committee this year - for all Regions as well as National - will have to start dealing with this process. So bear that in mind when casting your vote, and when considering to stand for the committee!

Every candidate for committee must be proposed and seconded by two members. The candidate does not need to be a current NZLARPS member at time of nomination but they must join by the AGM.

The positions are:

Regional Director
