Legend of the Seeker CLEARANCE SALE

Righto, my friend Jane, the former Lead Designer on Legend of the Seeker, has a warehouse full of Seeker costumes.

You may have noticed the likes of Sir Xenith, Shard, Sejanus and other Teonn characters wearing her top notch costumes. Jane has been selling complete character costumes on Ebay, and now has lots of Various Items to sell.

Here’s the catch: she only wants to sell to people who will wear the costumes as intended e.g. larping or re-enacting in them. The items will be sold piecemeal, not in full costumes, so you get to mix and match. No info on prices, but this is a clearance sale.

This will not be a public sale, but all larpers are invited. I’ll be inviting our re-enactment buddies as well

Jane is organising dates, strongly likely to be before Xmas (and I’ve let her know the dates for Teonn). So, if you want to get some of the best gear I have ever seen, then start saving now

More info when I get it…watch this space !

Oooooooh!

I.AM.SO.THERE.

Thanks, Mike!!!

Holy crap! /starts saving money.

Deal

THIS TIME I’M EMPLOYED!!!

This time I live in Auckland and can actually buy stuff without worrying about luggage allowance!!

Right, so I’ll need a minion in Auckland to get me a pair of boots… (and I’ll need to check sizes from people in Wellington)

So keen! I am there!

Oh Geez… spare cash I wish I Have!

Before Teonn would be amaaaaaazing.

For us Wellingtonians heading up for Teonn, the Friday or Monday of that weekend would be ideal.

Agree with Bryn

Awesome, now I just need to go rob a bank

They would be most welcome to come to the Teonn market with their wares. We will also have heard form Jon and Ryan who are two custom armour makers and are keen to bring some of their wares incuding concepts for custom armour. This is the message I got from them:
So we’ve got a couple of materials were working with this time. Ryan has reasonable collection of unfinished and untrimmed armour pieces that come from seeker and underworld ( I think). He’s looking to sell most of the pieces at reasonable prices to make some room for a set of new sculpts that he is going to be working on.

I’ve got a small collection of vac formed ABS plastic shapes that have come off another project I am working on but would make ideal armour pieces for people such as yourselves who like to fabricate and customise. Me and Ryan and made up a couple of example pieces of armour from this material to show the kinds of things you can do with it. We’ll also include some patterns. So I’ll be selling small lots of untrimmed unpainted base material that can be easily customised to look kick ass!!

I’ll sort some pics for you to have a look at soon.

Thanks for the cell I’ll be in touch closer to time. Definitely keen to hear more about the crucible and how we might be able to support your community in arms and armour. In the near future we are looking to transition to vac formed armour and away from urethanes to help keep costs down and provide lots of cool looking armour quickly
So I highly recommend players and crew bring lots of cash to the Teonn weekend game. I have talked to them about Crucible and indicated that there may be a lot of interest for customised armour that looks good and doesnt cost an arm and a leg. No idea what prices they are going to charge, but I will post any more information I get as I get it.

Jane is cognisant of the timings of both Teonn and the Wellington contingent pursuant thereof, and would like to accommodate both the Aucklanders and the Wellingtonians if she can. Venue availability and all that.

I have received some of general questions about prices / gear availability / payment terms.

Can everyone who has questions please PM me with them and I’ll contact Jane with a single list - I think she would appreciate not having to deal with a stream of queries - and I’ll publish the responses here. I’ll send her collated questions on Saturday, so fire away (via PM).

To those who can’t make it in person, perhaps you could send a trusted person with a good description of what you are after, and a smartphone for transmitting photos in real-time. We all know the gear is of the best quality, so as long as it meets your basic specs (including size), I can’t see how you’d go wrong.

For example, the costumes Jane brought to Teonn a couple of years ago: they were $500 each, but the cost of the raw materials alone would have been close to $500. When you factor in the cost of specialist labour, well…

oh man… sooooo keen.
