Sad panda, seriously bad timing for me.
Jackie may I take you up on that offer?
What’s the address?
It’s written on the image above
I can give lift to a couple of people on the 23rd. I’ll be leaving from Grey Lynn so if you’re in the area or between there and Henderson, or can get there, I can give you a lift.
Just a question for folks how have been to similar clearances like this, what are prices like?
Seconded. Are we talking your average items are $10 or $100? Its a long way to travel to find everything is out of my price range.
In my experience, the cost of the professionally-made garments has been arguably less than the cost of the raw materials. i.e. I’d it is bargain territory.
Which doesn’t necessarily help.
At the original Seeker sale, I bought a full MordSith outfit. It was $400. That’s amazing value for leather pants, top, boots, neckguard, corset and thigh holster. But while it’s great value for money, it’s not necessarily affordable. I think I also got a medieval dress and cincher for $60-80. Really beautiful stuff.
I don’t know if these prices will be comparable. Obviously they won’t be selling complete outfits.
Slightly off topic, but “squeee!”. Without trying to sound at all seedy, itd be cool to see it some time!
I imagine the Wellington contingent will we making a visit on the 29th prior to Teonn.
Would some kind soul who goes to the sale on Saturday post here what the prices are like to give me an indication if I should travel out to it on Sunday?
Thanks!
Will do.
Boots $50
Leather shirt $100
Double bandalier $80

What about armour, weapons, robes and small extras?
Plenty still there?
That’s just what I bought. Others can comment on prices for other things. Hardly anything is marked with a price.
There is a lot still there. Robes, a few torso armours, smaller armour pieces. Dresses, skirts, sandels, buckles, lots of curious leather bits and pieces.
Lots of dark chain armour shirts, I think those were $250 each.
No weapons, but those wouldn’t be suitable for larp anyway.
The chain was $250 with coif and coif cap (cloth hood so it doesn’t snag your hair). It was riveted Aluminium. That’s a good price and there are more sets there.
Dresses seemed to be in the $20-$35 range. Sleeveless coats were about $50. Chain - the $250 stuff still has a few pieces left, and its dark, riveted aluminium. Belts ranged in price quite a bit, some were ~$20, the flash ones were up to $70 or so. There was a backpack we didn’t buy that was $35 (canvas and leather). The trousers I got were $50, but I think some were cheaper. Lots of belt buckles, cloaks, and other such things. Roman sandals were $30 (I think).
Chain $250
Leather breastplates $200
Boots $50
Belts $30-50
Bandoliers $80
Leather surcoats $100 (these might be all gone)
cloaks $60
clothing $30-80
tiny pouches $2
pouches $10?
buckles 5 for $10
LOADS of stuff still there. The clothing does tend to be on the small side, as it’s for actors, but there is stuff there, you might just have to look a bit harder.
