Information as I receive it. This year, the hours on the gate are longer than last year, from 10am-6pm (but at least no more 8:30am early start! oh man that sucked after a hard night of drinking mead) but the way I calculate it, if we get 18 volunteers, everyone will only have one 2-hour gate shift per day. The Knight School will run twice a day for about an hour, and everyone will be asked to help out that’s not on the gate plus we’ll see what we can do about roping any spare re-enactors in. Technically, that’s four hours of work per day, but I’m not sure I’d class running around and whacking kids with paper swords as “work” per se…pretending to be monsters and heroes is what we do for fun in these parts, right?
Currently we’ve got 14 volunteers, so we only need four more folk for the gate.
You may also have Wendy to help at the gate…but im not going to fully confirm that without asking her first.
I will be there as well.
I’ve talked to my better half and you can put down Wendy and myself for manning the gate at some point. If you can swing us together on the gate at the same time would be great.

Actually, this is a very good idea Gaffy. We’ve got an epic number of people going down this year (some 21 thus far) so all pitching in together to get down there would be a good idea. Any luck with getting minibusses, Gaffy?

I’m coming too, don’t forget me (jumping up and down). I would love a ride if someone can pick me up on the way through. Im in Hamilton, somewhere in the wop wops (Whatawhata if you know where that is).
Is it possible to borrow a tent from someone? I need a ride too but likely I’ll be able to organise something without taking up carspace amongst the larper throng.
If you are willing to come and get it you cvan use one of our tents. They are a bit crap, but they work alright.
