Some of Howards’s short stories are basically Swords-and-Cthulhu. Read The Tower of the Elephant for a great example.

I’m never going to write this, it just amuses me to dangle the prospect of it in front of you each year.
Lovecraft’s work is riddled with Hyborea references, especially his more cosmic scale mythos stuff (see At the Mountains of Madness and The Shadow Out of Time)

Okay so I was having trouble sleeping last night and was sitting thinking about LARPs I’d like to see and what pops into my head. A Circus LARP, I thought how awesome that would be, I log into Diatribe tonight and what do I find A CIRCUS LARP 
!!! So barring any unforseen stuff, I put my hand tenatively up to run Colonel Sebastian T. Rawhide’s Circus of the Spectacular!!!

Nah I know, but even though the comics have flights of fantasy, 50BC in Roman Gaul is a real time and place, Julius Caeser really had just conquered it, and the majority of the adventures are set in this milieu (even if more recent comics also have aliens, Atlantis, etc). The comics are really about the wordplay, silliness, and lovable characters, but the backdrop is full of historical-ish references. Would be cool to introduce new material that stays true to that.
Its not like its Xena or something.

Well I started writing my Asterix larp last night… not much done yet… a basic premise… initial character ideas… but LARP witter looks cool… hell, with a year to go I might even be organised with time to spare with this… and also co-write another Hyborean larp with Ryan (who will co-write with me also).
Zane, honey, do you actually do much work at errr work? Or do you go to work to read larps and create character sheets with excel so you can then come home to play WOW at night? Haven’t decided on the skinning yet. Will depend on how much stuff we will need to make/buy for them.
I guess one thing I forgot to do is ask Anna if I can run this event, since it is by invitation.
So, more formally, can I please run a Asterix larp next year Anna?

Inspiration struck (sort of) for a game starring Angels. It’s probably been done before, but I’m going to try and write it, just to see if I think it would be worth playing. To be run at Chimera, how many players is the minimum it can have?
I am musing with an idea of an alice in wonderland esque larp… Not sure exactly what it will be like but I know that i will definately put my hand up to run something next year.

I’ve asked Erin if I can run a one off Jade Empire game and she’s consented to that. It wouldn’t be tied to the campaign in any way.
