Kahu’s costumes are pretty much sussed, still constructing mine. Almost done though. Have to go to civilisation to get more Ados F3. Looking forward to the entire weekend! C U all there! 8)
I have a pile of arms in my room, they scare me a little when I see them out of the corner of my eye.
This is a good thing.
Warning Ape suits are HOT, though considering how cold it is at the moment that might be a good thing.
(if you get stuck let me know if you want pieces of an ape suit…not like I have one sitting amongst my costumes in the garage or anything
)
Oh god yes, I would love an ape suit right now - it’s freezing in my room! I think I’ve got the head sorted, but what pieces do you have? I don’t need the chest or legs, but feet and gloves would be really useful and amazing! The only problem is that I have quite petite hands - glove size 6.
I have the full suit, the hands and feet may be a bit big, but I will bring them up and you can see.
Might as well write this out here - need to figure out what needs doing!
Friday night: Sorted - everything grouped on hangers
Saturday AM: Sorted - everything grouped on hangers
Saturday arvo: Sorted - everything grouped on hangers
Saturday PM: Hahahahaha. Er, need to finish headdress, need to make dress
Sunday AM: Sorted, just need to group outfits onto hangers
Sunday Arvo: Need to make robe and gown, + accessories
Thankfully I’m done making stuff for other people as well so can focus 100% on the two big procrastination projects that are my Sat PM and Sun arvo outfits.
Still so much sewing to be done! I still need to complete costumes for 2 games AND start a whole new costume for a friend. Its going to be one of those weeks…
Here’s my list
Friday night: 8 buttons to sew on, new zip to put in, hook & eye to attach.
Saturday morning: No idea; still don’t know what I’m playing
Saturday afternoon: Character sheets sent out; suppose I should find clothes to wear for GMing
Saturday evening: Top cut out but not sewn, headdress needs more paint, then glue, pants need waistband and hook & eye.
Sunday morning: Dress needs sleeves, facings and embellishments, chemise is cut out but not sewn.
Sunday afternoon: I have some fabric…somewhere…
All my stuff is done!
(Except I’m lending some kit to other players and it needs a touch of alteration.)
Eeek! Time running out. Does anyone have any elf ears I could borrow for Gordion Knot?
Will ear tips do? I can bring some.
Friday Night: Sorted
Saturday Morning: No idea who I’m playing, let alone what I’m gonna wear.
Saturday Afternoon: Sorted
Saturday Night: Almost sorted. Coat and Pants are done, need to decide on a shirt.
Sunday Morning: A bit of trouble, but nothing too worrying. I hope.
Sunday Afternoon: Sorted.
I’d hoped to be a bit more sorted by this point, but I’m on the right track.
Would anyone happen to have a gold sash? I’ve spent so much money already and would really just like to borrow one
What sort of gold? I’ve got a bright yellow sort of gold sash…
I have a fairly pale gold sash
Packed my suitcase this evening.
Its good to get everything in one place.
Friday Night - Could do with some handcuffs…
Saturday Morning - Red Pants, why is it so hard to find decent red pants?!
Saturday Afternoon - A waistcoat and overcoat would finish it off nicely
Saturday Evening - Waiting for special delivery…
Sunday Morning - Hardest Costume to come up with, but i i’m finally set… although some shoes wouldn’t go a miss
Sunday Afternoon - All set, just need to get my bow and arrows upto Auckland.
Thank you Jared, that would be perfect.
Does anyone have a crucifix I can borrow for Friday night? Ideally something decently large - not one of those piddly little necklaces that people usually wear.
How about 30cm wrought iron cross on a stand? Or do you need to wear it?
And now, after much hunting, searching, scrambling, and Feline Assistance, I am packed and ready to go. It’s gonna be a loooonnnggggg week, isn’t it?
A necklace would be convenient, though I suppose not necessary. 30cm is a tad too large, though; I’m thinking anywhere from 5-20 would be best. (though if it’s on the smaller end of that it would necessarily have to be wearable, otherwise I’d be scared of losing it
)
