Auckland Regional AGM Nominations Deadline

Now that the constitution recognises distance voting as counting towards quorum, we need to have a cutoff for nominations so that distance votes have time for due consideration of their votes.

Therefore, the cutoff is Monday 28th at 6pm.

If you are considering standing, you must be nominated and seconded by the above date and time. You may do so by communicating me directly via my email (auckland@nzlarps.org) or on this thread.

If you’re thinking about joining the committeee then read this topic, which outlines the responsibilities of each position.

You might also want to make sure that everyone whose nomination (as opposed to eligibility for nomination) was affected by the two-month rule is properly nominated by that time. The two-month rule is in force until the constitutional change has been accepted by the Registrar of Incorporated Societies. We moved on this quickly, and Ryan filed it Friday morning, but its not up yet, and as Monday is a public holiday it is unlikely to be processed by the nomination deadline.

If you could extend the deadline until, say, Friday, then that might be enough time. And a weekend is probably enough time for people to distance vote in.

The problem is that there is a popular larp this weekend (Witchhouse), and there a sizeable cohort of Auckland larpers will be off the grid. My reading of the constitution is that nominations are actually validated at the RGM, so I think the current nominations will stand.
