Regional Director’s report

This year we have seen a decrease in projects in the Auckland region with a fair few campaigns reaching their end. However that hasn’t stopped the Auckland committee from keeping busy!

We have had a big focus on community outreach this year, starting an Instagram page to advertise events, and working in collaboration with the Waikato Role-Playing guild at Convergence and running an intro to combat with Radiqal Movement.

A topic of discussion that we keep having as a committee is how are we making sure the standard NZLarp member is getting value from their memberships and what can we do as a committee to deliver that value. I hope this can be continued with the next committee.

Hopefully we see some new projects come through next year to fill the gaps of those that finished in 2025.

I have thoroughly enjoyed being Auckland’s regional director this year and working alongside a fantastic and enthusiastic committee full of people wanting to grow our community. Thank you all for the opportunity.

Gear Officer report in Behalf of Clare:

Gear shed has continued business as usual with gear hirage to various larps. We also lent gear to Convergence in Hamilton for a photobooth in exchange for running a larp, and are looking forward to doing so again next year and maybe organising more larps to happen.

Gear Officer has been slowly learning what gear maintenance looks like, and made lists about what to do next.

Keys living with President nearby the shed has worked well and the discord system for keeping track of them.

Secretary report

This is my second AGM as secretary now, and so I’ve had the privilege of working hard alongside a very dedicated and passionate team of fellow-LARPers to make something worth being proud of out of this committee and it’s work for our community. We’ve put a lot of effort into trying to actually meet the needs and wants of the community, update processes on the back end, and facilitate better support across all parts of the game-running process.

Secretary is a very busy role within the NZLARPS Auckland committee as it acts as a triage point between our small team and all of the various GM teams we work with, as well some larger external ventures. A cool example of this has been our recent venture into Kirikiriroa | Hamilton’s annual TTRPG convention convergence where we coordinated with the Waikato Roleplaying Guild extensively over several months to bring The Bell to this event - which was received really well, and was only possible as the result of a massive labor of internal and external coordination!

As Secretary for the NZLARPS auckland scene it has been a privilege sharing the minutes of our enthusiastic tiima’s meetings from each month, as it is especially rewarding to know we do have dedicated and engaged community members who keep up with them and enjoy the updates.

This role would not be possible without the support of the other committee members and for that I am especially grateful.

Treasurer report posted on Behalf of James Curd:

The balance of the Auckland regional account on 1 September 2025 was $5253.67 The balance on 23 September 2026 was $9147.19, giving an increase of $3893.52.
This profit has occurred through the success of multiple NZLARPs project run by dedicated teams, alongside a couple of private projects making use of Gear hireage.
This is also accompanied by my own ongoing difficulties accessing anything beyond viewing the balance, due to banking complexities making me unable to actually move any money myself. As such, I thank Ben for his time patience in managing money affairs.
