You have learned a new trade: Leatherworking!

Yes, I’m a recovering WOW geek. But I’m wanting to learn leatherworking in the real world, specifically shaping and carving leather armour. Does anyone have any good contacts for supplies of Leather and tools in the Auckland Area?

Grutt distributers on the north shore have some tools.

I’m a reasonably good source of leather of some sorts and can show you how to wax harden leather.

Right after you put up the next installment of Angels2200…

OMG - There has been a Angels2200 update! Pinch me!

Vege tanned or chrome? because it is pointless to try carving or embossing leather on chrome tanned hides.

fern country leather in avondale have vege tanned hides, but they are pricey.

and for shaping, moulding, and hardening tips, try here.

chrome tanned hides can still be used are limiting.

I read somewhere that Vege tanned is best…I figured I’d start with bracers, so I don’t need to buy (and possibly waste) too much leather

Yes, Angels2200 is updating again, although tonights comic will be late…like tommorrowish late  Lotsa lotsa work on.
