I saw it when it came through with the film festival. It’s very grand, and mostly battle scenes. It’s also cut down from a two movie series intended for Chinese nationals and about an historical event embedded into their literature and collective psyche - doing some swot on Wikipediabefore you go in there wouldn’t go amiss in terms of understanding what’s going on. Or you could just sit back and enjoy the spectacle.
It’s showing now. We could see it at Albany on Saturday after “Fools rush in”.

That said, I am totally going to see it coughinternetcough because it would be fantastic background for JE.
I saw it, and I enjoyed it. I think it’s a “must see” for anyone playing something like Jade Empire.
