[WGTN] Weekend Campaign LARP

Hi Peeps!

33AR is looking to come to an end in the next couple of sessions I believe.

I know we have:
Kingdom (closing next session in Nov/Dec?)
World that Is (revamped and continuing) - remaining as a 1 night affair
And Nik Crombie had a LARP campaign idea (Broken Gods?)

Not sure on where people are at with other ideas/concepts, but in regards to future thinking, has anyone got desire to run a Weekend Campaign LARP in Wellington?
I’m keen to put some thoughts into progress, but don’t want to step on Toes.

Cheers
Chris

Nick Wolf will be starting his Eldleif campaign in October 2015. Its mentioned in the calendar thread here:

I am indeed planning on running a weekend-format campaign after 33AR ends, called Eldleif (as Idiot points out). I have assembled a team for the campaign, and as it so happens we are working on a brief announcement regarding this campaign that should be up sometime in the near future.

I’d be curious to hear what ideas you have?

I’ve thrown my ideas out, seems theres already stuff planned.

Doesn’t mean more than one thing can’t happen at once- Lots of different tastes in the community, after all.

i would like to see what kinda other ideas for weekend larps look like cause while i have nothing against a viking inspired larp i am keen for a more fantasy or even sci-fi larp as so far wellington has only had a steampunk larp and although i have never been able to play in them the auckland larps seem to have all been sword and shield/magic based

Generally and historically this was probably because that was the easiest gear for people to get hold of and make it look decent. Sci Fi needs quite a bit of out lay.

And I can say Auckland has had many larps that weren’t fantasy based. They have also had many horror games, some sci fi games, plus a star wars campaign and a firefly campaign. Plus many monthly urban fantasy games.
