Hi all,

as some of you may have noticed the one off LARP One Night in Heaven and a St. Wolfgangs day game have ended up on the same weekend. What I want to know is what you think of having One Night in Heaven on the Friday Night, and St. Wolfgangs on saturday?

Would more people from out of town be able to attend?
Are you up for Both or would you pick between them?

You’ll probably find out-of-towners would have to pick between the two unless a full weekend mission with somewhere to stay was organised. It sounds like a simple thing but it’s not always the case :confused: - particularly for those from further away that might also have to take time off from work for the travel on Friday.

I wouldn’t be playing “One Night in Heaven” regardless, so it makes no difference to me. I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic game run by lovely people, but regardless of when it runs, I just don’t have the time to play every game.

EDIT: having said that, it wouldn’t worry me if Wolfgang didn’t start 'til Saturday morning. Getting to the game on Friday on time can be hard.

It’s the same weekend as the Wolfgang’s day game, not the weekend game Derek. ONIH on Friday night, SWVH on Sat night.
I think I’ve missed a discussion somewhere. What is One Night in Heaven about, Zara?

One Night in Heaven is a one-off Larp Clare and I are working on.
In it you get to play a god or goddess from mythology. It is set at a meeting of the Gods which occurs once a Millenia to decide which Pantheon will be the most influential and ‘rule’ the world for the next thousand years.

Details were going up Friday until we discovered this clash. Hopefully things will be sorted by Moinday night and details will go up then.

Hmmm!

Was just about to buy plane tickets for the day game (but am now holding off as we wait for the final date). In order to go to the day game I’m going to have to do some wrangling with work which will see me up in Auckland for the week prior. Which means I could, in theory, attend your Friday game as well.

For me, two games in one weekend does help justify the effort/cost of coming up to Auckland. :slight_smile:

So far the votes are leaning to it being ok. I think its a good idea, it’ll be like a weekend game split in two, First we play fighting Gods then we play fighting for god! :mrgreen:

I choose, no too much, but thats mostly because even making a day game is a maybe for me…

since St.W is a day game, is it a possebility for it to be run on sunday?

It is a full day game, as in, we will be going into the wee hours of the night, so Sunday isn’t really an option.

Any update on this? The cheap tickets to Auckland are selling out fast, and Norm and I are both waiting on the outcome of this so we know what to do. :slight_smile:

Clare and I have decided to move One night in Heaven to the friday today. So Wolfgangs won’t be moving.
