I used to have a small (home made, of course) trebuchet in my front garden when I was a student…

For an idea of scale, the weight was a 20L bucket filled with cement. :smiley:
It threw flour bombs a looong way.

I also remember seeing footage of a trebuchet throwing cars and a double-decker bus (!), but I think that was on tv…

I made one for an event some years back. We had four siege weapons and threw arm loads of grapefruit at each other. I was getting about 80m without any real effort. We tried adding extra people as weight which was pretty exciting :smiley:
