The Unit

Watched the TV show The Unit last night.

I preferred the original series. For one thing, while it was just as pro-American it at least had a sense of humour, and didn’t do it at the expense of the French or the UN.

And for another thing, it had Mr T.

What’s the Unit?

Do you mean the English series developed by Chris Ryan (ex-SAS soldier and now Author)? That was really cool. The Ami version is a little cheesy as all USA series seem to be.

Heroes, sir?

It is the yanks going " hey the british did this really gritty and realistic tv show about the SAS, lets do one about Delta Force after all they are our version of the SAS."

“yeah thats a great idea but with more sex, and patriotic, gung ho, anti arab, we are the greatest and you wanna be like us, feelings”

The good old U.S of A… We do rule the world…Deal with it.

Anyone else watch Heroes by the way? I have a friend downloading it as soon as new episodes come out. I’ve fallen in love with it.

Ive seen the first six epiodes and I love it. Its kinda a mix between Lost and X Men.

Never heard of it.

I meant the series with Mr T and Face and that crazy helicopter-flying guy. Fist-fights and drug barons. C’mon people, I’m trying to make bad humour here, play along. Is “Mr T” not a rather big clue?

The “A” Team :unamused:

The “A” Team was realistic only to eight year olds, the guys cap off several hundred thousand rounds at the bad guys blow up three cars with Improvised Explosives, and crash the attack helicopter into a exposed reactor core that has just reached critical mass resulting in a thermo nuclear explosion that wipes out 400 square miles of country side.

And no one gets hurt

It was aggressive pacificism in action, “I dont shoot you, I shoot the tree behind you, causing it to fall on you and crush you to death, but hey I did not kill you the tree did, so my karma is safe YAY”

plus all you needed to blow up the bad guys fortified head quarters was a convenient pool of gasoline and a lit cigarette.

I cant wait for the remake movie :unamused:

Who will play B A Barracas? Please, not Ben Stiller.

what about “The Rock”

wouldn’t it be terrible to be known by a “title” your whole professional life

allow me to intorduce myself I am “The Garden Shed” and you are?

They always seemed to get imprisoned in the room that had an oxcy-cutting torch in it!
