The International Comparative Larp Study

Apparently there was a talk (slides (PDF) at Knudepunkt over the weekend about an “International Comparative Larp Study” - an attempt to gather information on larp around the world to see what is played where, how, etc. Its partly an academic exercise, but also part of that Knudepunkt idea of cultural exchange.

The website is here:

larp-research.net/

Its pretty sparse ATM, but hopefully will grow as the project gets underway.

Anywayb, someone from NZLARPS should volunteer to be a country countact when the survey comes out.

Thanks for the heads-up, I’ve volunteered on their forum to be the country contact for NZ.
