OMG - and I don’t have a thing to wear… :open_mouth:

EDIT: will we need larpsafe cutlasses / pistols etc for this game or is it non-combat?

The game is written in a heinously complicated abstract system that Ryan is currently busily converting it from. It will indeed require larp safe weaponry.

Ha ha, I started looking at merchant navy fashion for the period and it’s MUCH more modern than I thought. I was thinking tricorn hats etc…

Wikipedia 1870’s fashion

That man in the first photo is in fact the real Captain Briggs, isn’t it?

As a side note: Most of the characters in this larp are named after the actual crew and passengers of the real Mary Celeste!

I’m in the process of sending out character sheets, so you should all receive them over the next few days.

This is sort of a given but I feel I should stress it again: Please do not discuss what is on your character sheet before the game. I know it’s tempting, but save it all for the game, it’ll be way more fun that way

Yep. That’s him / me…

The adapted rules are online now:

The Final Voyage of the Mary Celeste, live combat rules adaptation.

Some characters can do funky stuff that isn’t mentioned in the rules, you’ll generally have to see the GM to make those work.
