Does anyone who is going to Taupo have some fake blood I can use?
Mix golden syrup with red food colouring. It looks really disgusting if you’ve run out of regular golden syrup and try to bake with it.
I’ve heard that you need to add a bit of blue food colouring to get the right colour.
Raoul kindly gifted some to nzLARPS at Wolfgang. It’s in the shed. You can decant some if you want.
That’s okay, I think I can make some myself. I prefer maple syrup anyway.
Mixing in a little corn flour at about 1T per liter gives it an opaqueness, and because it’s a white base, makes the blood look redder.

Peter jackson used to use maple syrup and Food colouring. Worked well in Brain dead. If you want some guts as well, porridge in sausage skins works well, just add fake blood.
