Southern Larp Group Kit Up for Sale

Due to a change of direction I’ve decided to put my Medeval Fantasy Kit in CHCH up for sale, I’m looking to get $2000 for the majority of it, pictures of some of this kit can be found at diatribe.co.nz/viewtopic.php … sc&start=0

Please note that the animatronics like the Ogres head and Bat wings are not included. Given available time I’ll be posting pictures of the full kit for sale with an inventory list.

I am prepared to split up the kit into batches but there will be additional costs in doing so.

Off the top of my head the kit comprises of:
2x Roman Legionnaire Helmets
4x Lorica Segmentata Battle worn (dents pop out)
5x Roman Legionnaire Shields
5x 2 Meter long Spears
1x Necrotaur Mk2 Costume (indeed of light repairs)
14 - 15x Gladius (short roman swords)
1x War Hammer
3x Double Handed Axes
2x Hand Axes
1x Foam & Latex Armour
1x Horse Skull Helmet
5x Medium Shields (1x Left Handed)

Any many more tid bits. Most of the kit is in good condition, with one or two medium shields well battle worn. A few 5 liter bottles of Latex are also available but will be additional to the price.

I’m also prepared to build addition bits for the right price, my main focus now is on compressed air props and animatronics for more futuristic larps rather than Medeval focus.

I’m thinking that NZLARPS should put in a bid for this gear as an addition to the gear library, but since I’m stepping down as a committee member tomorrow this will be someone else’s decision. I also know that there will be a fair cost involved in shipment to Auckland and also that the society doesn’t have $2000 free at the moment in any case.

The new gear librarian should take a look, maybe. Possibly some members could club together with the society and purchase items for personal use?

You will notice the Roman Shields boss needs a little more latex over the top which is an easy job for a skilled hand, this was mainly due to allowing the lads to shield barge, I wasn’t very restrictive when it came to combat.

The long spears will need the heads cut back a little bit, another easy job for a skilled hand. The lorica’s dent but can be pushed out by hand, they are also fully adjustable.

Personally I think that the price is a steal given that one Lorica took over 11 hours of labor, not to mention the latexing time in winter for all the weapons and shields. Minus materials you would be looking at paying about $1 an hour for my labor, which is a bargain in NZ.
