Sleeping arrangements

Apologies if the answer to this is obvious, somewhere…

Do I need to bring a sleeping bag? What are the sleeping quarters outfitted with?

Cheers!
When you come for the weekend, here are the things you should bring:
Your costumes!- clothes, any special make up, props, shoes and so on.
Some civvies are helpful, just in case you don’t want to wander around
in costume between games or after games finish for the day- a warm
jumper is a very useful minimum, as it’s Autumn.
Pyjamas
A towel
A sleeping bag and pillow
A pair of jandals for the shower is often helpful
Toiletries
Sun tan lotion if you are playing a game outside
Bug repellent
Toothbrush and toothpaste
Snacks and drinks- it’s always helpful to have some in your room for
between-meals peckishness.
Any prescription medication you take (it’s also helpful to have
painkillers with you, just in case- nothing spoils a weekend faster
than a headache)
Earplugs
Yes you’ll need a sleeping bag. It’s a scout camp, a bit like the place in Auckland where Teonn is held. Except more remote. There’s also a pool, if you fancy swimming. :smiling_imp:

Just be warned, the Vodafone network has no cell coverage, and Telecom is patchy at best. There is a landline that can be used though.

To add to this list, you might want to bring a cup. There will be paper cups, but the fewer we use those the better.

It might also be worth noting that all the cabins have heaters (which have automatic off-switches set to a 12 hour timer), so with one of them on you should be toasty all night, although I’m sure an extra blanket wouldn’t go amiss, just in case.

WIN

Speaking of sleeping arrangements, does anyone know if I can get away with a sleeping bag + pillow as my carry on luggage?

Depends on the bag  But yes I would think so. weight isnt an issue and you should be able to squeeze it in the test dimentions

Tell them you have a delicate prosteria condition that requires you to sit on a pillow.

I’ve seen people checking in with almost a full size bag at the security screening. You can have 1 carry on bag as well as a handbag/laptop bag. So in theory, if you have a backpack and a sleeping bag for carry on, you should be fine and dandy.

After writing this, I realise, you’re probably already on a plane and coming down…

Nope  Thanks.
