Secret Santa 2013 - Wishlist

Hi guys

If you have PMed me to be part of Secret Santa 2013 help your gifter out by making some reasonable suggestions in this thread

Thanks

Michelle (AKA Nerfarious St Nick)

Dear Santa,
I’m playing a Dra’zhar tribesman in a LARP next year (think Dothraki, from Game of Thrones),
and my character is a Warrior who, as all Dra’zhar tribesmen do, collects trophies.
I would appreciate any small ‘trophy’ I could wear on my person, or keep in my pouch, but would especially like
a story to go along with how I got such a trophy.
For example, maybe an animal tooth, with a written story of how I wrestled said animal to get it…
or how I outsmarted a trader, and won some secret treasure… or maybe the trader outsmarted me!

Anything you gift me, will be awesome and carried by my character with great pride and reverence!
Also, the story will be enthusiastically shared by the fireside, with my Dra’zhar Brothers and Sisters

Thanks
Tim F.

Dear Santa,

I’m going to be playing an alchemist in the Crucible and if you could find it in your heart, and big bag of goodies, to give me a satchel of some kind to hold some of my potions and the like I would be most appreciative. It doesn’t have to be anything fancy or new. In fact the older the better. And a line on where I could fine some potion bottles would be equally as appreciative.

However, if that is not within your grasp, I wouldn’t say not to a journal of some kind or some parchment. I have a feeling that I’m going to be doing a lot of note taking in the future.

Yours,

Joseph O.

Dear Santa,

I am going to be playing two characters next year, and would love some sort of accessory for either of them.

The first one is my current 33AR (Steampunk) character, who is a Indian demonologist who occasionally also kicks some demon ass. Would love an extra accessory for this outfit, anything steampunky would be cool, doesn’t have to be fancy.

The second one is for The Crucible, I will be playing a Valerian Healer. For this I am also bringing along an IC tent, so anything that adds to the set dressing would be cool, even if its just a pretty bowl or cusion or piece of fabric. As a healer will also have potion bottles, and other equipment to carry, so a cool IC bag wouldn’t go amiss.

Basically any cool IC nicknack would be neat, I’m sure I’d be able to put it to some good use somehow.

And if your at a complete loss, I also greatly enjoy chocolate too

Dear Satan,

I like surprises.

Dear Santa,

It would be wonderful if you could find for me a steampunk sun hat, I burn easily under the NZ summer sun. I also have known weaknesses for the wonderful combination of mint and chocolate (preferably dark, dark chocolate on it’s own is equally fantastic), Dutch liquorice and silk scarves.

Thank you in advance!

Linda

Dear Santa,

I’d really appreciate it if you could find me a fairly IC (Steampunk or fantasy) style canteen/water bottle. I’m playing a lot of games in Summer, and hydration is important. If you can/want, can you please get it a holder as well?

That or some medieval looking jewelry would be nice as another option. Of course it can be the cheap stuff, it’s just I haven’t found any yet!

I like most chocolate except any sort that involves raisins.

Thank you XXXX,

Nik

Dear Santa

I will be playing a Healer and Alchemist from Valeria in Crucible next year and would very much love an item to help bring her to life. Maybe you could find one of the following in your workshop.
Perhaps a medicine bag to carry all her potions and healing items.
Satchel/ Belt Pouch
incharacter canteen/water bottle (thanks for the suggestion Nik)
maybe it’s a token that has a story attached to it that I can incorporate and treasure.

Otherwise Santa beads or crafty stuff is always welcome

thanks

Dear larp santa,

I have been a very good Idiot and have run 4 larps this year. I’d like an IC fantasy water canteen or holder (thanks for the suggestion), or cheap jewellry, a long, thin belt (because you always need more), or small book suitable for an IC book or journal. Alternatively, anything to do with Cthulhu.

[quote=“IdiotSavant”]Dear larp santa,

This is the most adorable thing I’ve read all day. Anyway.

Dear Santa,
Hope you have not been beset by Martians, Halloweentown creatures or Kiss this year. To be honest, I’m not really sure what I want for Christmas. My 33AR character, a theologian and general Jack of all trades, is always in the market for second-hand books about vaguely demon-apocalypse-related subjects (he’s currently got a Latin-English dictionary, Frankenstein, and Thomas Carlyle’s On Heroism and Hero Worship, so anything in an ‘Irish kid who wants to make good’ vein would be great’). I’m also potentially looking for something I can store a lot of small bottles in (think food-colouring size) so that I don’t have to repeat the delightful experience of picking broken glass out of my socks.
For me, Crucible is some time away, and I haven’t really given much thought to that, so I can’t really think of anything there. The tabletopper in me would like a deck of Tarot cards so that I can finally perfect that system for Kapcon. Otherwise, I have a sweet tooth for rocky road and sour jellybeans.

Only twelve more sleeps until the next LARP!
Russ

Dear Santa,

I’m very new to all of this and so I think almost anything larp-related would be amazing! I tend to keep having to borrow things off people and it would be nice to have items for my own kit. I’m a fan of the steampunk genre (I crew for 33AR) and play a character in the post apocalyptic The World That Is. I’m also building a Dra’zhar farm girl character for Crucible.

Hmm… what else to say? If the above doesn’t give you any ideas I have a huge sweet tooth and enjoy desserts of all kind (although not terribly keen on white chocolate, nut-based, or black licorice).

Thank you in advance, Santa!

Dear Not So Secret Santa

I want a unicorn, a vampire bat and the meaning of life :unamused:

Okay maybe that’s asking too much, I am going to be playing a Dra’zar Hound, so something for my character in black or grey would be nice or I collect Dracula stuff, I currently have a bunch of different versions, Dracula hand sanitiser, a Dracula lolly jar so something a long those lines. I also have a fondness for cute skulls and white chocolate, but please don’t give me anything with coffee, mushrooms, marshmellows, is spicy or is pink as I am allergic (yes I am TOTALLY allergic to pink  )

Dear Secret Santa,

I really like getting anything that I can use in a larp. It doesn’t need to be for a specific character, but if you are inspired, my next character in Crucible is a Sachenheim mage, and I play a Greek Princess in 1001 nights.
I love collecting useful items that can be used in a larp - be they books, pouches, jewellery, scarves, fur etc. If you are talented enough to created something larpy then that would be lovely as I always value things people put time into.
I also like mementos of larps, so a clever photo montage is always appreciated.

If you can’t find anything at all larp related then I also collect interesting dice.

Thank you santa

Dear Secret Santa,

realised it might be nice to help you out

Anything Oriental (Japanese) as I play in Jade empire!

Anything star wars - literally anything and I will be a happy camper.

Anything larpy  I like surprises!

If in doubt Zara can eat any chocolate you send!

-Thank you!

Dear Secret Santa,

I like small trinkets, jewellery and other accessories that I can use for any flavour of larps. I haven’t been playing for a while but hope to get back into games in the new year as a merchant of some sort for Crucible so interesting bags and pouches to carry things in could be good.

Other than that I have a Viking interest in beads for reinactment events. And I like game pieces that could be used in character for reinactment or larps.

And as a back up I like chocolate of all sorts except coffee flavoured.

aka Karen

Dear Secret Santa
My Crucible character is Saschenheim, so trend towards blue and/or fur. She’s a professional match-maker, inherited from her mother, so any knick-knack ancestral wise would be cool. Otherwise IC book/notepaper and/or pen for making notes on who’s good for who would be much appreciated.

Regards,
Hannah
