Removing liquid latex

So, I have the unfortunate coincidence of getting liquid latex on some of my clothes.

I’ve tried hot wate rand such to remove it and washing the clothing didnt get it out at all.

Anyone have a way of removing it without damaging my clothes?

Unfortunately, no. It sort of binds with the fabric fibres. Just today I wore my leggings with the blob of latex on the knee :frowning:

You need an petroleum-based solvent to weaken. Try Vaseline, it certainly causes condoms to deteriorate. The main problem is that the solvent may damage the material in addition to weakening the latex. Perhaps you could use a rag and dab petrol on it to minimise the contamination on the fabric ?

Never wear clothes you care about while latexing, or do it on carpet.

I got the majority of it off with a cotton bud with some nail polish remover.

I’ll run my nails over it later and get the rest.

Freeze it. It can cause the latex to become brittle.
