Raising the dead

NZLARPS has been kind enough to continue to renew the Mordavia domain name this year. I’m not sure exactly what use it is to the society, but it’s handy for me as I still use my Mordavia email address.

I thought I’d give the society some value for money, and resurrect the website. It had fallen down because of issues with the host, but I’ve moved the hosting and now, for your nostalgic pleasure, it’s back:

mordavia.com

Everything should be working, apart from the forum. Getting the forum going on a new server (actually, on the NZLARPS server, because that’s where I’ve moved the site to) would be extra work and I’d need help from the site admin, so I’m not planning to do that unless there’s a particular call for it.

Speaking from a personal point of view, and disregarding the extra work and time, I’d love to see the forum back. I spent many, many, many happy hours on that forum and I’m the kind of nostalgic person that likes to revisit things like that

sorry Ryan its not working yet :frowning:

That’s odd, it was working when I went there two hours ago but it isn’t working for me now either.

Works for me at the moment. Perhaps it had a brief outage.

Or it may be that the change in the domain hasn’t spread to your ISP yet.

Damn lagging DNS servers… Although that obviously wouldn’t be the problem for anyone who had already been able to access it.

works for me and I have never been to it before :stuck_out_tongue:

Unless they tried to access it via two different ISPs.

Unless they tried to access it via two different ISPs.[/quote]True, but I was thinking of someone using the same computer - and who uses two different ISPs with the same computer (that and I would imagine it would just be locally cached anyway).
