Damn, a clash with Episode 1. Participants: please let me know if this changes any arrangements.

Sorry you can’t make it. Good luck on the Nibelgun game, crashing sounds so painful.

Don’t worry there will be a few more games through the year. I am looking at writing another Gobo Hunt in the near future. These are infamous modules. Also, if there is enough demand, we might see about running another cave module some time this year. Stay tuned.

depending on finances my lil bunch willbe keen to come back down.
I’ll pass the word.

Damn real life
I get to be oncall for the next Quest module :unamused:
Argh

The module will be held at Parana/Memorial Park. See top of thread for details.

Any chance of a date change Alista? Potentially more people (Orklanders) can attend a (24th) Saturday night game.

Oh and my roster changed so I am available to play in next game in any capacity! Yay

Jared

We learnt a long time ago not to change dates.

  1. No matter what date you chose there will be people that can’t make it.

  2. It just causes confusion.

  3. We play lots of modules so we will rotate friday, saturday and sunday.

  4. Last time we changed a date we had 8 people who said they were busy at a party and could we put the module on a sunday. We did, and not one of those eight turned up. Lesson, do not change dates without a damned good reason.

So no, we will not change the date. Catch the next module.

Hi Alista
Thats fair reason but I don’t think David (Wulfen) and co. are like that. If they say they can turn up I have this tendency to believe them.

Don’t you think we should consider the option given that they really helped raise the bar at the last game.

If 3 or 4 of them guarantee to turn up we’re looking at a potential 25% more players.

My 5 cents
Jared

But would the date change cost in terms of attendance from local players, thanks to conflicting schedules or confusion? I’m sure if they showed up a little later (5:30 departure = 7:30 arrival in Hamilton?) that there would be something for them to do.

Lyz or I will try to make it regardless of the day it’s on.

We might be able to make it, gimme a day or three to confirm

I tried, I failed. Sorry Orklanders (David). On the flip side Quest is running games every 3 weeks or so.
Catch the next one.

Jared

If there’s talk of a date change I’d prefer it didn’t still clash with Nibelungen

We had a date clash with two larps long ago and one of them (a weekend game with a camp) got four players in total because of it. I’d love to have anyone free in Auckland on that Saturday night turn up at Nibelungen to TC!!

THE POWERS THAT BE HAVE SPOKEN TO ME! THERE WHILST BE NO CHANGING OF DATE FOR THE NEXT QUEST GAME! IT SHALL CLASH & SO SHALL IT BE! UNLESS OF COURSE THE POWERS THAT BE CHANGE THEIR MINDS OR SOMETHING!

Sad as this is, there will be a Quest game a couple of weeks later & then another one a few weeks after that and then another one a few weeks after that and another one a few weeks after that etc. etc. so on and so forth.

So sayeth I
Jared
Also sorry for saying “doth” at the last game, in character (Erin).

tis okay sirrah.

or in plain english Jared, thanx for the try but we think we might have it figured out, so far if plans go well, the original foru plus one will be making an appearance.

just as a side suggestion can some one put up the directions to the event for us Orklanders who lack up to date sailing charts?

cheers.

Directions to Memorial Park/Parana Park

State highway 1 from Orkland (Te Rapa Rd)

Either straight through town following that road through to Victoria St, through to Bridge St, over the bridge, left on to River Rd and you’re at Parana Park. We use the Cenotaph as a meeting point.

Or at the Burger King roundabout on Te Rapa Rd, turn left into Wairere Dr, cross the bridge and then turn right on to River Rd, follow River Rd all the way down to Parana Park.

Jared

cheers Jared.

See top of thread for more details.

Sorry to anyone who can’t make it. We will try to keep an eye on the NZLArps calendar to avoid most clashes.

Don’t you mean 23rd of Feb? Quick edit your postings

How do you spell 'Oops"?
