Quest Waikato and Hamilton LARP (or LRP)

Hi all
I’m just curious as to what level of interest there is in the Quest games down here in Hamilton.
Theres an undead fest coming up in early Feb (see Alista’s posting in the Hamilton section for details) as well as a desire to run 15 modules a year but we could always do with a few more people.
Anyone 16+ is welcome and we’re actively looking for regular new (or old) players to join the fray.

If we have enough interest (ie, 6+ people) for a large weekend game, it might be feasible for us to run a minibus or similar for group transport down to Hamilton.

I’m interested. Just busy, most of the time. The undead thing sounds like fun

I’m keen to play.

Id be very keen, but unfortunately Feb is a very full month for LARP up in Auckland. Let us know when and where on diatribe, just in case though please.

Check out Alista’s posting for Quest Waikato in the Hamilton thread. He’ll be modifying that post for game announcements as far as Quest games goes.
Otherwise let me know and I’ll pass it on what I know.

Jared

Best to post replies to announcements or it won’t show up as being “new” for most people.

I’m keen to come and experience Quest Waikato later this year.

I’d be keen sometime, but the first few months of the year are too busy for me. When the time works I’ll be up for it.

Quest is planning to run 15 games this year and in theory 1 in 3 modules will be a civilian class module.

The “civilian” class is an integrated symbolic system somewhat like the vampire guff, where outcomes are based on paper scissors rock, though retries are able to be brought as characters improve.

They are able to interact with the normal players weilding foam without any difficulty, but are not able to be struck, in a sense they are defenseless to that type of combat. They have strong in game protection so they aren’t able to be murdered by foam weilding adventuers without consequence.
They are essentially politically motivated and are unable to adventure in the normal sense.
