I saw this posted on SCA notice board, and thought might interesting to folk here too. … Not sure how to contact them though.

greetings

are any auckland clubs looking for a place to train or hold
events? we have a huge amount of woodland with glades large
enough for battles, archery and horse work, plus a hall for
indoor stuff. also have a catering kitchen, metal and
woodworking workshops and a pool. we
want to hire space out here for very reasonable prices. we
are in albany just off oteha valley road at the end of mils
lane. feel free to come up and check it out.
were also
looking for people to come and live here.

It is Kahikatea Eco-Village & Art Space.

Previously it was called Anahata, and was orginally Centrepoint. Definitely worth checking out. I work in Albany, so I’ll take a look in the next week or so.

The myspace page has a slideshow that shows how pretty the venue is.

I’ve been, it’s amazing. Larping there would be out of this world, but it’s also people’s homes. So not sure what their view on loud, late night invasions would be…

That does look cool… a LARP could easily take advantage of the green space & use the village as a non combat roleplaying heavy base of operations. That way late night madness could occur away from the living areas or just during the day… or something… I’m sure the possibilities would be infinite.

Madness can involve non combat though.

Still applies though… madness away from inhabitants may or may not be necessary.
