How long are the 102cm swords from Paddywhack? Are they 102cm from pommel to tip, or guard to tip, or something else? I need to make sure I have a bag/suitcase big enough to put mine in (it’s not here yet) so I can fly it up in my checked luggage (as much as I’d like to take it on the plane with me…

Nominally, they’re 104cm from tip to the end of the pommel (i.e. the entire length).
In practice there is slight variation between the different sword models, but I think they all come in under 104cm.
Does it have to fit inside your luggage? The bag would have to be huge. Could you instead wrap it in bubble wrap or corrugated card, label it, and check it in as its own piece of luggage?

I get one checked bag, so if I can fit it in I will otherwise I’ll just have to sweet-talk/pay for an extra checked item. It’s no big deal really, but good to know in advance.

I often travel with rattan swords for SCA combat sticking out of my bag. I think you’ll find as long as most of the sword fits in the bag, and the bit that sticks out is protected the airlines don’t really care.
