Possible NWN2 campaign

I got Neverwinter Nights 2 for Xmas.

For those not in the know, NWN is a computer game based on D&D that allows one person to create a setting and host it for others to play in. There are lots of these “modules” hosted all over the world, some as continuous worlds and some as sessions. It also has a single-player adventure mode with a built-in scenario, and more scenarios can be downloaded off the web.

I don’t have a PC suitable for running it yet, but when I do I’m considering hosting a server and running a campaign of play sessions for NZ players (or anyone else who can connect without too much lag). If I go ahead, I’d run it much the same as I would a larp. Lots of players in various roles (not just a party of adventurers), fully in character. I’m guessing each session would last a few hours and there would be a session every few weeks.

I’d probably use an original setting, I’m not very familiar with the Forgotten Realms or whatever it is. I’d build my own modules.

Anyone got NWN2 or looking at getting it, who might be interested in playing in a campaign?

Oh hell yeah. I’m definitely in. I had the game since it came out.

I used to play NWN when it originally came out and I’d love to give NWN2 a go, but alas… my computer is old and crappy and I have a bad connection.
If I can upgrade I’d be interested.

I got NWN2 as well, but need to upgrade my video card, as the in comp lag is huge!

I’d be keen for something on these lines.

I’d totally be in for this. I don’t have NWN2 but I can get it easily.

I’d be keen.

I will purchase NWN2 and join in.

I have the game, and brought a new video card during the week, so I am ready to go, and very keen.

It’s likely to be a way off. May be a bit before I can get a suitable machine, after all the holiday spending.

Cool to know there’s a bunch of keen folks out there though. And there’s plenty you can do with the game before I start.

If anyone is after a video card I suggest you check out PB Technology. pbtech.co.nz/index.php
I have found they have very competitive prices, and a large selection in store.

Auctually i recomend chcking out th web site http://www.pricespy.co.nz as they automatically compare the prices of 170 computer part retailers through out all of NZ, and it is verry rare that u will find some place with a cheaper price.
