What I donāt see in that pic is any comparable boy-candy for the girl!ninjas (or ninja-girls. Are they ginjas? nirls?)
I dont see any ninjas, theyāre invisible
Iām sorry but the pirate is the boy candy
If weāre talking about Will Turner or Captain Jack Sparrow, sure.
But then who is candy for whom? Studly swashbuckly pirate and exotic flexible ninja. Hmmmm.
And thus the truce between ninja and pirate was born!
Have attached a sneak peak of the DVD I am compilingā¦it will work as a DVD Video you can put in your DVD player where you can navigate through the menus through the different rounds of games with the photos from each game viewable as a slide show. Additionally, it also works as a DVD ROM when put into a computer where the jpeg images are accessible (while also still viewable as DVD Video).
Still all just $5!
Thanks to all those so far who have ordered prints and DVDs, remember the cut off date for orders is 26th September. All proceeds go towards a starving and neurotic university student with a mounting student loan and diminishing sanity.
That looks awesome Judit. If youād like to include the Camelot photos I took on the DVD, drop me a PM with your email address and Iāll send them to you at full size.
Personally I think you should have charged $10 for the DVD, it looks like it will be a lot of effort on your part (Iāve done DVD authoring before so I know how much time it takes). But then you may have only sold half as manyā¦
Steve
Like most of us, sheās doing this for the love and not the money.

That will be all.
Live and learn. This is the first time I have sold any of my photographs so any profit I make will be more than I had to begin with anyway. Just like what Anna said, for me itās also about getting my work and name out there and the fact that I love that people enjoy my photos. Blank DVDs are cheap as chips if you buy them right so thereās still a profit margin on them anyway. In terms of DVD authoring, I have fallen in love with DVD Studio Pro when we were taught how to use it for a uni project and so it also works well for me learning my way around the software for future projects. I wasnāt going to go as full out but once I started, I figured I might as well make it look good.
Something people are proud to show off and perhaps recruit future larpers!
I dunno if you already have them or not, but I recently bought a pack of 50 blank DVDs from PBTech for only $18. Have a look there if you need some. www.pbtech.co.nz
You could always offer to split proceeds 50/50 with NZLarps, could be an additional post-event revenue stream for the society (thats the ex-treasurer in me talking).
Is this the ULead software? Thatās the one Iāve used, and it is very good - unless you want to try and do proper subtitles, or subtitles in Chinese, in which case it is crap. The image slideshow transitions are rather nice, though (though thatās in the Video Studio part)

Thatās⦠oddly hypnotizing. Also Lucy there in the middle reminds me of one of the Night at the Roxbury guys.

I would just like to say that I am very impressed Judit, I am loving them, and I highly recommend if you have not yet got the photos and the DVD, go for it. Its a real bargain.
