So, there’s this game - Path of Exile. It’s a Diablo 2/Titan Quest style Action RPG, which is pretty fun, and is developed by a kiwi company.
It’s in closed beta at the moment, and you can either sign up to go in the (random) queue for a beta key, or purchase one for $10 or so, kickstarter styles.
Is anyone else playing this? I have a couple of characters (US gateway), but would definitely be keen to head out adventuring with some friends sometime.
Pretty sure that’s the game my mate works on. They are based in Auckland. Looked pretty cool. Probably pick up some of the guys that don’t like what they are doing with Diablo III

I’ve been playing this for a while when I’ve had the time. The new ideas they have added such as the passive skill tree and ability gems are great. Still not sure about the economy system.
Looking at what is happening to Diablo 3 at the moment I think those players who want the feeling of Diablo 2 aren’t getting it from Diablo 3 and are turning to path of exile which is fitting the bill of an upgraded diablo 2 really well.
If anyone wants to play sometime I’m definitely interested

Just got into this the other day. Pretty cool actually.
My last huge experience with a multiplayer RPG was WoW, so this makes quite an interesting change of pace.
I like the skill gems & talent tree in terms of customisation - seems the Devs have gone out of their way to make any build you like entirely plausible.
Game gets grindy of course, but I haven’t played with any friends yet, so maybe I should.
