Will this game be run during the day (like Nexus) or the evening (like Werewolf)?
In general it will be an evening event. Especially if it is on the Friday due to a clash 
Yes evening, it will be first Saturday of the month, unless there is a clash when it will be first Friday, this is why are are now looking at the first game on a Friday evening. I have got an annual special game in mind though that may be a day and evening game.
Ok, if i were to convert my mage game to a monthly i would run it from 11am to 5pm.
Would this be a problem for you guys? One of my favourite things to do is go to mage during the day, have a drink and wind down and then jump in to werewolf.
Much like werewolf I don’t see it being a problem, as it is a similar time slot to werewolf that we are aiming for only a different weekend
Costuming wise we are expecting there to be quite a spectrum, with people in jeans and a t-shirt through to those that wish to make efforts to show off their Fae Mein. so having a few hours break between games to eat and get changed is good. we are likely to want to gather from 6:30pm and go time in around 7pm (same same as other evening games)
This game is going to be run in the CBD in Uni buildings (I have yet to confirm what/where the venue(s) will be).

Fantastic, i will work around this.
Though the History has been up on the Changeling forums for a while some people have asked if I could put up the history of the area on this forum to help them get more of a feel for the game.

Well, it is official. We have a venue booked for our first game. It is at the Conference Centre, 22 Symonds Street. So put it in your calendar Friday 5th October, at 7:00.
In character game premise – It is the festival of Pennons, traditionally a martial festival, with jousts and mock combats. The main festival is held at Oakthorpe on the common and attracts Fae from all over the Duchy, who wish to show their skills or simply join in the festivities. Some go to plow their wares and musicians go to play for the crowd and compose songs about the heroes on the field.
Out of character premise – This will be an introduction game, so not very heavy on plot, but a good way to start to learn the rules, get to know the main area of the Duchy and also to get to know the other characters. After this first game I will then be hitting people with plot stick.

Also, I put this on the New Zealand LARPing and Events calendar. Do you want me to put in a placeholder spot for every Friday at 7pm?
It is going to be first Saturday, unless it clashes with something, which is why it is on first Friday this time. A place holder would be great, thanks.
As for cost it is going to be free, but there is going to be a small donation box for people to maybe put a dollar in if they want to to help build up a funding for props.

So, I know quiet a few of you are busy on Saturday afternoon (1st Sept), but I also know that there are a few of you who are not. I have Saturday off now, so I am going to do one of the character creation days from 12:30 this Saturday. Message me if you do not know my address, let me know who you are and I will send it to you. There will be tea, coffee, cold drinks and probably cake and biscuits.
Mostly it will mean that we get to talk about all of those little character things you were thinking about, any rules questions, and I know in a couple of cases what the hell this Changeling thing is all about.

So I have lots of lovely people joining me at the forums now, which is great. Just one little note, when you join the forums you can post in the OOC area of the Changeling game, in that there is a little introduction bit, this is more so I know when I add you to the group for Changeling I am adding the right people. So if you have found you cannot post anywhere else on the forum this is likely because I see the name and have no idea who you are from your forum name, so you have not been added to the group yet. We have hit over 20 now, and I know there are plenty of people who kep coming up to me and saying they have been lazy and not joined yet, so please do.
And once again a quick reminder, Character creation day at my house from 12:30. Tea biscuits and a great chance to ask me all of those Changeling related questions, which I know there have been more than a few. Message me if you do not have my address.

OK, less than 20 days to the game now and I still have a whole bunch of stuff to do. I forgot how much starting a LARP is a full time job…on top of your full time job. So I am asking for a favor from all my lovely players or people that are thinking about it. Can you please get character concepts to me as soon as possible if you have them please, so they can be approved, checked over if you have stated them already, linked to NPC’s and maybe other players, hit with any plot stick that may come about from your background or ideas and have any chimera stated etc, etc. PM me or get me on Facebook if you have me, or even get me at www.rpg-forums.com/forums as Master Of Dreams.
Some merits and options become more limited the more characters I am getting, so the sooner you get in there the better the chances are of getting what you want.
As a note to this I am also thinking of having another character creation evening at my house on the 21st Sept, probably combined with a bit of a drink or many as it is my birthday the next day. So let me know if this is good for you. I will be setting up an event on facebook.

Just wanted to bump this thread as the first game is 5 Oct which is very soon.
Changeling is a really lovely game. In my opinion it affords something of a different experience than other WoD games and is quite dreamy (no pun intended). My character is currently an independent - but if you’re keen to play and not familiar with the setting, and want an IC tie, PM me and I’m sure I can come up with something suitable.
if anyone fancys school on me wtf wod or owod are and how to play the various games auckland is running (mage, changeling, warewolf, vampire?) idd like to play, ive played two vampire ones before which was fun. no idea what i was doing, but good STs.

We are going to be having a character creation day this Sunday, once we have the room booked I will be posting it on here officially. Come along and I can give you a bit of a run down and help you create a character, the first game is going to be helping people learn the rules and how it works. So it should be easy for folks who are new to World of Darkness.

OK, so folks I am going to be a having a Character creation day this coming Sunday, just to be sure that is September 30th as this game is very, very close. (5th Oct 7pm) And of course all you lovely folks who want to play need characters.
The gathering is going to be held at Auckland University in the Commerce A building room G13. This building can be found on Google Maps very easily if you are not sure where it is.
Bring a laptop and/or memory stick if you have one as we can distribute the rule books out as a digital copy to help speed up the process, and of course me and the rest of the ST team. All 2 of them (I still need a 3rd minion if there are any volunteers) will be there to help you with all your lovely rules queries, general, ‘What the hell is this about?’, questions and any other answers you may want (The Stork brings them…)
So once again it is running this Sunday at Auckland University in the Commerce A building room G13 from 12-6.

As mentioned in the previous post we are having a character creation day from 12 - 6 tomorrow. Come along and we can get your character stated and linked in with game.
You do not have to stay there the whole time, turn up when you can, get what you need done and leave, it will only be us poor STs that are going to have to be there the whole time.
