Hi all…

We booked our flights to NZ today. We will arrive in AKL on the 28th of March and leave on the 27th of April. I need the time to take some tests for my job offer, but I reckon that I have enough free time to look around.

We will take some mediaeval costumes with us, in hope that there might be a LARP at this time. We will be mobile, so it isn’t a problem to drive a few kilometres.

It would be nice to meet some of you, on a LARP or in a bar, or where ever.

The most time we have to stay in AKL, but Viktoria’s host mother lives in Hamilton, so we will be there also.

Hi Issac,
Theres a small hack n slash type larp every last sunday of each month with Quest larp in Hamilton so your chances are pretty good down here.
Otherwise we could attempt to organise something while your around.

There will be a medieval camping event 25-27 April in Auckland you’re welcome to attend. We can probably find you a spare tent to borrow as well.

Hey, then it will be the 30th March, hm? So, we have to take some weapons and a shield with us? On the 29th March I will have a test rehearsal, and after this we want to go to hamilton. It’s convenient for us to come to Quest.

It sounds nice, but it is more reenacment or more LARP? Because for reenacment we can’t take all necessary clothes with us (only 46 kg per person per flight :smiley: ). I reckon we can come for one day, so we don’t need to borrow a tent and look for a place for our baggage. Does the event have a homepage or something like that?

The LARP calendar is on calendar.php although it needs to be updated for April. Closer to the date it should be more heavily populated.

I wouldn’t worry about bringing your own gear, you can always borrow some when you get here, it might just be a bit more basic than you are used to, though really its up to you. If you want to bring some nice gear over then feel free.
Anyways keep an eye on the Quest posts for more details.

It’s getting closer and closer…

At this moment only the Multiverse LARP is on the calender. But I don’t read anything about it in the forum?

What about other LARPs at our time here?
What about a general meeting in a bar at Auckland or that?

Nibelungen is next weekend, I’m looking for “temporary characters” to drop in, play a part and leave. You’d be aliens, mostly the ugly type. Give me a bell on 021 136 8000 if you’re keen.

Also, I’m having a party on the 12th of April, and inviting a bunch of Auckland larpers. Come to that and meet people if ya like!

It’s looking like there might be some modern-day stuff in collaboration with a local Airsoft group in early May.

Yeah, I’m getting to it. I’m working on the rules and will do major announcement when the rules are ready.

The date is confirmed though.

It doesn’t discuss the event, but does describe the setting and style of the larp in general.

I had written down this event in our travel calender and we try to come for one day, so we don’t need a tent, but thanks for the offer!

We will also try to come to the party, Exquire talks about. Thanks for the invitation! We will bring the LarpZeit (the German magazines) for Anna along.

As well we will have a look for Multiverse closer to the date. We don’t want to take our clothes and equipment unnecessarily with us… :wink:
