Hi all,
Judit (a.k.a Photoninja) here on behalf of myself and Ant.
I am pleased to announce that all the official event photographs are now live at photoninja.co.nz/chimera.html
I am still a rookie at web development so please let me know if you encounter anything that doesn’t look quite right or doesn’t work with this website.

As always, if you want any photo of you taken down for whatever reason, do not hesitate to contact me. Every effort has been made to not include photographs of those who talked to us at the event requesting to not be photographed.

Perhaps one of the most important things I can’t stress enough: we provide all the photographs to you except for The Gordian Knot portraits as downloadable desktop resolution jpeg images. We put a LOT of time into capturing, editing, and collating these photos so please respect our work by not removing the watermarks and not editing the images in any way without permission from the photographer. You can download and share these images but must provide explicit reference to the photographer.

And now the fun stuff. Now that all the photographs are up, you can now order your prints, portraits and DVDs and pre-order your ‘Year of LARP Calendar 2012’ for a reduced early-bird price. All the information regarding the different products, prices and how to order is at photoninja.co.nz/chimera/products.html

Please read all the information on this page carefully. Some of it is a bit tricky but hopefully I’ve explained it clearly enough. If there is any confusion, please let me know. Otherwise, upon submitting an order you will receive confirmation of your order and selected images before being prompted for payment.

Cut off date for orders is Friday 7th October, 11:59pm. Prints and DVDs will be done in a bulk lot so will be posted out during October.

There has been slight confusion so far as to where to find the titles or filenames of the photographs for ordering prints so I have made this following handy guide:

I hope this clears things up a bit! For those who have ordered already, don’t worry about resubmitting your order as you will be sent an order confirmation which show the images you have selected which you can then confirm or amend.

To answer another question that has cropped up - when you purchase a portrait print, whether it is a custom or basic background, you will also receive the digital file of the final image, either by direct download or email.

Feel free to keep sending through questions if anything else needs clarifying.

So I made an order, but I’ve got a couple of questions:

  • what’s the bank account for payments?
  • the Print + DVD pack lists “4 - 6x4” prints" which isn’t one of the standard photo sizes. Is this correct?

Oh there’s still ages until the cut off date to order my Chimera photos, I’ll do it later…oh wait! There’s only a week left to order before the cut-off date! No late orders will be accepted after next Friday 7th October, 11:59pm.

Hey everyone,

Tomorrow’s your last day to order these! The photographers put a lot of hardwork in, both on the weekend then in post production to make these available to us. Please show your appreciation and support by grabbing a couple of souvenir prints or a DVD. Because we have had very low volumes of interest this year, it is unlikely we will be offering this service next year - if you would like to see the tradition of Chimera prints, DVDs and photoninjas continue, now is the time to show your support.

Plus, it’s a really good option if your Mum’s been complaining that she doesn’t have any current photos of you - she’ll either be pleased as punch, or so horrified at what you do in your spare time that she’ll stop asking.

Also, Ant is offering all the digital files of all the green screen portraits with a modified background as part of the Chimera DVD. These will not be posted online and offered exclusively on the DVD. The photo attached to this post shows the background that has been used across all these portraits. Those who have ordered ‘standard’ portraits will also have a similar sort of background.
