NZLARPS would like to do a series of theatre-style games over winter, one game per month from April to July. We already have two of these games: Remedia Amoris, a 20-player Nobilis game about love (date TBA); and The Night Before Christmas, 1940s murder mystery LARP in the style of Miss Marple (scheduled for June obviously). We are seeking two more. So, if you have an idea for a 12 - 20 player larp to run in this period, then now is the time to announce it and get yourself on the calendar.
It’s possible that I can finally get around to running Run the Heart (cyberpunk cafe larp) in Wellington during that time. However, I can’t really confirm that until I’ve talked to the cafe I hope to hire for running it. I’d be in a better place to say either way after the next session of 33AR (in Feb).
I don’t know if anyone would be keen to play Shell Beach, but I could offer it over next winter if there’s interest.
I’d be super keen for that. I’ve managed to miss all the previous runs
Remedia Amoris
A Nobilis larp by Chris Hall
Thou Shalt Not Love Another
Love is a lie: it claims to be beauty, but there are no lovers in Heaven.
Love is a weakness: it gives the Excrucians a possible hold on a Power’s soul.
Eternal love will outlive Creation… but nothing can or will.
Ephemeral love is not love at all.
Therefore love is a lie, a weakness, and a contradiction.
– The Windflower Law
Love is forbidden to the Nobilis, and is punishable by death - or worse. But as part of Creation, it must be supervised and protected by the Nobilis, and forms part of a noble Estate. Now a dispute has arisen regarding that estate. Should Marriage be a part of Love? Billions of humans think so. Now Nobles, Imperators, fictional characters and hangers on must decide whether to follow suit.
Remedia Amoris is a story of love, time travel, and betrayal in a universe populated by mythic beings. Coming soon to Wellington.
