So, three months of unemployment coupled with kitting up for a while new game and a 2 month lag until my first paycheck has left me… totally broke.
I’d love to be able to make presents for zillions of folks but just don’t have the spare funds (I get paid 2 days before Christmas - useful, eh?)
But I could manage one or two wee gifties and thought maybe there are others in the community in the same boat. So I’d like to offer an NZLARPS “Secret Santa” for all those who’d like to participate. Here’s how it works:
- Let me know if you’d like to participate by THURSDAY 9 December
- I’ll take the list of names and randomly match you another participant
- You’ll get the name and address of your “buddy” by Saturday 11 December
- Buy, make or conjure your gift with a view on getting it to your buddy by Christmas!
If the cost of shipping is prohibitive please let me know and I’ll try and pair you with someone in your area.
Let’s set the value of the gift between $5 - $20 with a view on making/sourcing things that might be useful in a LARP. For example, pouches and bags for storing OOC stuff are always useful and fairly easy to make. For those who like to write a little story featuring your recipients character would probably be well-received. Maybe you want to do a sketch or drawing? Of course chocolate never goes amiss, so if you’re stumped for a LARP-appropriate present don’t let that stop you.
