NZLARPS National Committee quarterly summary December 2014

I apologise for the lateness of this; it was due in November.

The NZLARPS National Committee doesn’t formally meet, and instead conducts business through its Diatribe forum. As a result, we don’t publish formal minutes. Instead, we have decided to provide a quarterly summary of business.

Matters discussed

Since August the National Committee has:
[ul]
[li] Assisted with a media inquiry for a possible radio piece on larp[/li]
[li] Further discussion of switching banks. We’ve decided to go with ASB, and have begun the process.[/li]
[li] Agreed to send flowers to Vivian’s funeral.[/li]
[li] Distributed funds to regional branches in accordance with committee policy. Each region was given $10 per regional member, amounting to $710 for Auckland, $170 for Hamilton, and $410 for Wellington.[/li]
[li] Held the AGM, and filed the resulting constitutional amendment and annual financial statements with the Registrar of Incorporated Societies[/li]
[li] Rolled over the marketing strategy for another year. Ryan is in talks with community members about implementing aspects of the marketing plan.[/li]
[li] Discussed the need for annual reminders about the code of conduct, and the appointment of a welfare officer to handle reports of harassment/bullying/assault and inform people of their options. Because of the possible sensitivity of some complaints, confidentiality will be important. We’re currently discussing the best model to use to implement this.[/li][/ul]
