NZLARPS National Committee quarterly summary August 2014

The NZLARPS National Committee doesn’t formally meet, and instead conducts business through its Diatribe forum. As a result, we don’t publish formal minutes. Instead, we have decided to provide a quarterly summary of business.

Matters discussed

Since May the National Committee has:
[ul]
[li] Assisted with a media inquiry for a possible article on larp[/li]
[li] Organised flyers and business cards for marketing at Armageddon by the Hamilton and Wellington branches[/li]
[li] Required regional committees to post project forecasts and actuals in their committee forums (this corrects a mistake in recording past decisions by the present secretary. Mea culpa etc)[/li]
[li] Assisted with the formation of the Hamilton regional branch, and agreed to grant them startup funding. [/li]
[li] Began planning for the 2014 AGM. This is likely to be held in early October alongside the auckland regional AGM. There will be a future announcement on this, but you can propose business here, or by contacting the Secretary.[/li]
[li] Further discussions around Adam P. [/li]
[li] In response to concerns about privacy raised by a third party, agreed to redact Adam P’s name from public Diatribe forums.[/li]
[li] Responded to a Privacy Act request from Adam P. The committee would like to thank everyone who assisted, including past committee members who provided records from their private email accounts while being under no obligation to do so.[/li]
[li] Further discussions of newsletters and possible content[/li]
[li] Further discussion of switching banks. We’ve weighed up our options, are currently voting on who to switch to, and there will be an announcement in due course.[/li][/ul]
