NZLARPS MEETING MINUTES MARCH 2009

Meeting Start: 19:08

FINANCIAL UPDATE:
Money situation is good. There are two minor refunds outstanding for expenses for the Joust.
We have yet to receive our payment for the work done at the Joust but Anna is in contact with Nick regarding this.
We need to buy a new First Aide kit, toner for the printer.
Anna motions to buy toner for the printer, Hannah seconds and there is a unanimous acceptance.

GEAR UPDATE:
Lots of new gear coming in through projects.

PAST LARPS:
Star Wars – The larp was very successful, epoepl seem to have enjoyed it. Question was raised as to whether Adam has permission to use the Start Wars name, and does he need permission?
Masquerade on Fleet Street: Was a big success and Anna is thinking of runnig it again.
Ravenholm – we have concerns about the organization around logistics of this game, but players seemed to have enjoyed it.
Bad Dreams: Was excellent. Players give great reviews.

Multiverse
Star Wars

OTHER BUSINESS:
Diatribe – Riddled with bugs and some user concerns regarding the navigation of the new Diatribe.
Anna to talk to Craig regarding the administration.

As long as the larp is non-profit, there’s nothing to worry about.

Whatever you do, don’t ask the IP owners for permission to run a larp based on their property. They will almost always say “no”, even though it’s perfectly legal (and ethical, for that matter) to run a larp based on a property, so long as no person or company is directly deriving an income from it.
