Hi all
On May 18th 2012 me and 5 other LARPers will be plunging into a pool of icy water (literally – they throw ice in to bring it down to 9 degrees) for 5 minutes to show our support for @Heart (say: At Heart), the New Zealand organisation that supports kids with congenital (from birth) heart conditions through life.
We will be freezing, but I’ll have warm fuzzies knowing that there are people out there who are helping the 12 babies born each week with a heart condition in NZ – whether freezing or supporting, and also the medical staff, friends and families directly affected.
The funds that we raise will be used to support heart children and their families in the hospital and at home through @Heart’s National Family Support Programme. This programme is vital for children and families affected by a childhood heart condition as it helps them to better cope with the range of challenges they face, and improves their quality of daily life.

Unfortunately the familly friendly and child fundraise policy doesn’t match with my borat mankini outfit… Will probably be a pirate or merman…
