NZLARPS Auckland committee meeting 2nd June 2010
Present: Anna, Rowena, Zanny, Blair, Gaffy, Cameron, Liz
Anna proposes we accept last months minutes, Rowena seconds. 5 for. Blair and Zanny abstain.
Financial Update
Anna and Liz to go to the bank tomorrow.
Accounts are in an okay shape. Reimbursements for St Wolfgang’s and Multiverse have gone out. We have ~$3000 in venue bookings prepaid.
Chimera forecast was voted online and accepted
Hamish hasn’t been available for financial meeting to sort out the accounts. Anna is trying to arrange a meeting in the gap between his honeymoon and his trip to America.
We discuss Hamish’s stag do and the mean stuff his friends did to him, and wonder why we roleplayers are considered the freak counter culture?*

New Horizons Actuals
Nikki did them, but Rowena failed to print them off and they are on my usb stick, which I definitely had on Friday when I printed the character sheets, and Anna is going to check her place in case I left it there, but I don’t think I did which means it must be somewhere in my house. I only figured this out the night before the meeting, so we haven’t had a chance to redo them, but we will either find them or redo them before the next meeting.
Multiverse Actuals
Ended up making $263 loss, which is better than we feared it could be.
St Wolfgang broke even which was great considering it was the most expensive game ever
A new portal was made for it which cost over $300 but we should get many years use out of it.
We discuss how awesome Joel and Malu were for making such yummy food and remaining in budget (12 per head – they are awesome)
Anna proposes the committee approve the purchase of rolls of fabric for $30 from the Legend of the Seeker Sale. Liz seconds. Unanimously accepted.
The Treasurer Handover
Anna to collect the remaining treasurer stuff from Adam on Sunday evening.
Emails need to be redirected so Adam no longer gets the treasurer emails.
We discuss spam emails.
Debit Card
The Auckland treasurer is to research on behalf of the National Treasurer the possibility of a debit card. Auckland treasurer comments that the National treasurer is obviously rather lazy.
Past Larps
St Wolfgang’s Vampire Hunters.
Had 77 people for the final game ever. Despite concerns over the noise we were fine and the caretakers had no problem with our late night rainstorm battle. We suspect that the problems from noise probably come from music.
We discuss how music = no. Screaming = yes. Until the cops show up. We then discuss cops showing up at various games.
The monthly larps have all happened.
Upcoming Larps
Scummit
Next week. Players are not sure if they are playing or not. Better communication is requested.

Trailer quotes
AA - $99.09 annually
State - $113.18 annually
AMI - $387.23 annually
Committee is in favour of State, as we have had good reports about their service, and we are unsure if AA was offering a discount for being an AA member (I am a member and they took down my details when I called for a quote.) Rowena will post the pdf’s of their terms and conditions online for committee to read and make a decision on.
Marketing
Zanny has made a marketing plan. She will post a copy online.
Meeting Closed 9.50pm
