If you would rather not receive regular email updates about larp related events around New Zealand, then please email announcements@nzlarps.org with the subject line “Opt out” and your email address in the body. A real live human being will then remove you from the list, you will never be bothered by us again, and your email address will not be kept.
If at a later point, you decide you do not wish to keep receiving emails from us, just drop us a line at announcements@nzlarps.org and we’ll remove you promptly, and again, your email address will not be kept.
If you’d like to keep receiving emails from us, then do nothing, and we’ll keep sending them your way. It is possible you will receive this email at several email addresses. If that happens, drop us an email saying which of them you’d prefer us to keep sending it to, and we’ll remove the others from our list.

New Bretonia: "Feast of All Saints"
Sunday 20th January
The year is 1890. The world is divided along Imperial lines more clearly defined than ever before. Humans are also not alone – The noble Troll, the industrious Dwarves, the enigmatic and diplomatic Elves and the mischief loving Half-Fae span the width and breadth of the globe. Magic is very real as are inventions spawned through Mad Science that allow man to soar through the skies and to wage war as war had never been waged before.
It is in this maelstrom of tenuous peace that we find the small nation of New Bretonia. Nestled next to Germany yet part of the British Empire, it is regarded as a neutral ground for meetings to take place. With neither the firepower or the protective geography of Switzerland, it relies on the current detente and the ongoing diplomatic efforts to continue its protection under the British Crown.
You are invited by His Excellency, Niven Hastings, the Duke of Rhineport, lord governor of New Bretonia, to attend the Feast of All Saints, an annual celebration of goodwill and peace. The selected individuals from low, middle and upper classes have been invited to attend this ball the Duke hosts. For anyone invited, it is a mark of great prestige, no matter what their social standing is, as being of the upper class does not mean one is invited automatically. For the full day, the city celebrates a tradition that dates back a good century, no-one can remember how or why the first Duke to begin the tradition, but for all it is a time for family, forgiveness and friendship.
A new fantasy-steampunk world, set in a history-that-could-have-been, a world of magic and mad science, the land of New Bretonia is small outpost of the British Empire situated in the shadow of the German Empire.

Pan’s Neverland: "Blessings"
This is not the tale that you were read as you were tucked in to bed at night. It does not always have a happy ending. You do not need to fly to find Neverland, you just need to know where to look. It has been years since Peter instated the Lost Boys and despite common assumption, they do age. They have spent the past twenty years bringing people to the island and fighting for their freedom from the Pirates.
Peter has died, though not at the hands of Hook. The Lost Boys fight on without him for the salvation of the enchanted island. At Peters death, Wendy became erratic and wandered into the forest, never to be seen again save in glimpses of white through the trees.
And now, the Jolly Roger has run aground on the island of the Lost Boys and the pirates must get her back on the waters - but not if the Lost Boys have anything to do about it!

Where: Motu Moana Scout Camp

For the Honour of the Family - Sunday 20th January
Morning Session of KapCon
Seventh day of June, in the year 1826. For centuries the Cantacuzino family, as one of the great houses, have been at the centre of Wallachian politics. During that time, the Family have weathered many changes, and survived many attacks. The Balenu family (who in recent years have aligned with the Ghica family) have always manoeuvred in opposition - often in secret but on occasion openly.
And now the Head of the House, Duna Cantacuzino, is dead. Following the old ways his body lay in state within the family home in Bucharest for a period of 100 hours, and is now being transported to the ancient Cantacuzino graveyard in Craiova for internment. With the funeral period over the rebuilding task can begin: starting with the selection of a replacement for Duna. As tradition dictates, direct family members will select the new Head of the House, by vote, before the next New Moon leaves the dusk horizon.
