You heard it - this is the initial announcement that the AGM is coming. We’re looking at what we can create around this at the moment, but it basically needs to be huge.

Date of Tuesday 11 September is to be confirmed. Please raise issues with the date now.

This is important because:

  1. You have to be there or we’re a crap society.
  2. If there are to be any changes to the constitution they need to be raised pronto to meet the necessary time buffer for constitutional changes (which can only be done at AGMs)

I will note that Tuesday is an America night so a several members will be conflicted with attendance.

I’d say just skip one damn AMERICA night.

AGM comes once a year and involves the whole community, AMERICA comes once a week and you will at most inconvenience five or six people. And you have two months’ notice.

I’m in Rarotonga for my wedding from around 1st Sep to 14th Sep. Will check exact dates.

As Vice President of AMERICA I would ask that you please don’t hold your AGM on a date that conflicts with our regular roleplaying night, which is and has always been a tuesday since the club was founded. I don’t feel it’s in the spirit of our mutual affiliation, or a very polite thing to do. We have a number of members in common (some of whom have complained about this), and while tuesday nights are not larp events it remains that anything which hurts the relationship between NZLarps and AMERICA hurts larp as a whole.
Please consider this out of respect to an affiliated partner.

I suggest Wed the 19th, Ryan will be back with room to spare and will not conflict with America.
This is also several weeks after the committee meeting, so gives time for stuff that may need to happen to get done.

Is there anyone out there with the 19th?
